Another blown point blank look sends it to OT

That TO at the half factored in.
He had to double-pump to avoid the block. That wasn't an easy shot.

We rarely get easy shots on these late-clock iso possessions.

Yeah but a point blank what became wide open look. He'd expect himself to make that most every time. Who hasn't shot 10,000 double pump layups

We only won because of bad officiating according to WVU board

We had almost twice as many free throw attempts...so we would probably be saying the same thing if tables were turned.

just saw score. is roach injured now too?
If I was to guess, this is part of the rumored disjointment on the team. Roach just hasn't fit the system at all and doesn't look engaged as a role player (which is where he can play his best basketball). Regressed from a solid player at Duke to a guy who can't do anything here unfortunately. Could have scooped up Small and Roberts for the price of Roach.
You saw the final price tag on those three? I haven't a clue what we could or couldn't have gotten, my being this side of the pay wall and all...

I don't and I'm strictly guessing.. they were probably at a deep discount compared to Roach. But we don't really know unless we see the actual paper and payments.

Colleges are not required to reveal payments. Presumably, it is up to the players to report contracts over $600, but there is no apparent enforcement mechanism or penalty apparently, if they don't. So, waiting for the actual, verifiable numbers is like trying to draw blood from a rock. There was word last year that agents for players were grossly misrepresenting offers they had from other programs. Teams, fishing completely in the dark, found themselves bidding against themselves for a player. In short, when you try to evaluate who did well with their money (also, its not the Universities, money, NCAA has put severe constrictions on any Coach or University rep. contributing to the NIL) , the truth is likely everyone overspent, as they all lacked transparency to gage what the fair market was for any single player. The teams that seemed to do better had a huge bank of NIL $$ to draw from. Most of the teams rated by On3.com as doing the best in the portal have not had great seasons thus far. So, you see why I haven't a clue who we might have gotten and with how much...

The flaw in On3 rankings (just as Tech will find out next fall in football) is that the rankings are based on numeric "talent" values assigned to individual players and do not account for what needs a roster has to make it complete.
Signing the top 5 guards in the transfer portal when you already have 5 really good guards on the roster (exagerrated example) doesn't make you a better team. But it makes you an On3 rankings darling because the On3 rating is an aggregation of those individual talent values. You could have the #1 On3 transfer portal class and no one on your roster over 6-3.

We definitely need Foster rocking but even moreso it will be helpful if Arizona shoots 9% from 3 (2-22) like they did against K State instead of 50% from 3 (7-14) like they did against us in Tucson. Maybe Foster rocking will help that happen!

KU trailing Utah by 8 with 8 mins to go. That KU win may end up looking less impressive.

Big 12 is tougher than ever and college basketball has lots of parity these days. Maybe more than ever before. The blue bloods don't dominate the way they used to.
