I know this is going to get absolutely flamed by some people, but Izzo fought for a few years of his teams being bad and allegations that he couldn't coach anymore and yet he's got his team in the top 10 (coming monday) of the country. I personally believe we will be back into the national spotlight under Drew. I truly believe he will learn from this year and change. I'm sure many will disagree but that's just my take.

Well he better get him a new batch of assistance coaches to balance out his soft coaching.

I appreciate optimism, but time will tell if Drew makes the needed changes. He has refused to stop chasing high school talent, so unfortunately he does not seem to have learned his lesson. And for a guy who won a championship, you'd think he'd be a quicker learner.

Bring back Tang as an assistant

As someone who grew up on B10 country and had the misfortune of watching BU get run out of the gym by Izzo and crew last year I will say Izzo's teams have always maintained the same identity of toughness, rebounding and running. His down years have always been due to inconsistent shooting from deep, but their style and depth keeps them in every game and dangerous at tournament time. Their style of play is very easy to recruit to and their fan base is rabid. We looked like children playing against grown men in Detroit last year.

Izzo was due. Drew smoked him the other previous meetings in Atlantis.

I know we beat them by 15 in 2016, when they came in ranked 24th. Some folks should check Drews record against HOF coaches.

That's right and then beat them even worse for the Atlantis Championship the year after we won the national title.
