How much will Wright demand to stay at Baylor next year?
$1.3-$1.6 is my guess

He is going to have every big money program coming after him. Pitino and Hurley say hello.

Y'all post this about everyone...how much did Sawyer Robertson and Bryson Washington take to leave Baylor? Cause according to this board there's no way we can keep them.

The sky is always falling with some of you.

He is not playing at the level that he played the first of the season. I do think he is a great player. He is like the rest of the team, in a slump.

It's always interesting to hear and see our viewpoint as Baylor fans on where Wright's skills are compared with the viewpoints of ex-coaches who appear on the Field of 68 as well as CBS Sportsnet podcasts.

Wright is a stud. To play the way he did this year as a 6 ft freshman point guard is incredible. He will be a even better the next two years in college. I hope he stays at Baylor but they will have to pony up more than they are already giving him to keep him. He has the most leverage right now.

Bye Bye to you as well. We need fans with basketball IQ.

If he could stay for another 2 years, he will be the best point guard in the country. If we can't keep that talent (presuming he is not a first round pick), and build around it, we don't deserve further consideration as a top-level program.

I agree. He is going to be really good for the next few years. I don't think he will ever be a first round draft pick because of his size and the direction the NBA is going. Who is he going to guard in the NBA at his size? Yes there are some outliers like Brunson who star in the NBA, but generally speaking he does not fit the physical mold of a first rounder.

When you do want schedule your first tutoring session - I think I should start with " understanding the role of a point guard 101" for you....

He is not a likely first rounder, but remember Davion Mithcell lists at 6' 0.5" and was drafted middle first round. Never underestimate what a deep run in March can do. Hoping he gets that opportunity and gets it here.

Wasn't Davion a lottery pick?

Yah 9th pick overall, and I'd consider him a bust up to this point in his pro career

He started with the Kings, who seem to have self-destructed; to Toronto, who seem to be vying for the Cooper Flagg sweepstakes, and now, Miami. Hopefully, he has found a team that can use his defensive skills.
Davion gets a third shot at making it because of a first-round contract. Otherwise, he'd be trying to make it back from the G league.

If Wright jets, I'm probably out. This is the first chance in awhile to have top talent for more than a year. Can't miss on that.

If we can somehow get Wright to a junior year, I agree he will be the best point in the country. Type of guy that will take huge leaps with more collegiate experience.

I also might disagree with the board, but I see Wright slipping into the first round even with size limitations. Probably after sophomore or junior year.. just needs to show some ability to hold his own on defense.

Baylor folks have a long history of mourning a full glass because, "Yet it will be empty soon..."

there is truth in that but we also have to look at the fact that since our ncaa title we have become worse each year

for that reason, the sky is falling mentality should be somewhat expected
