Tounde Yessoufou will not jump out of the gym like VJ but this guy is built like a brick. This isn't a kid coming here, this is a man.

I've seen him listed at both 6'5" and 6'6". Which probably means he's 6'4.5"

We don't have to tear down one of our former players to build up a future player. There are no laws saying they can't both be incredibly athletic. Even though they may play the same position for us at the 3, one is really more of a guard playing the 3 and the other is truly a wing so I would expect their skillsets to be somewhat different.

Actually, I guess technically VJ is still a current player. I haven't seen anywhere that he's declared for the draft, even though we know it's coming.

We would lock some fools down on the wing with Tounde and VJ. Pie in the sky, but that tandem would be scary on defense.

Tounde had a chance to be a two year guy as his skills are pretty raw. But other than the KU guard it seems like he has been trending more than any other incoming freshman lately.

If the progress continues looks like a one year guy right now. Physicality, athleticism, and offensive upside probably too much to keep him out of the first round

Raw skills don't keep someone out of the draft. An NBA team will take a raw player and prefer they get to train them as opposed to another year in college. What could keep him at Baylor is if next year is a strong draft class. I have no idea if it is or not.

Some really good offensive stats, but also 1 very puzzling stat for a guy of his size who played 29 minutes.

Like you said if the draft is loaded it could push a player out. My point was if Tounde had a sharper offensive game he'd be a complete lock for a top 10 pick no matter the year.

I agree with you on upside potential when it comes to the draft but I think that applies when a young player has at least one special attribute.

Once I watched Tounde, I saw he physically looked like a pro against kids even when playing with the best high school kids in the country. So he does have that special attribute that you can project out.

How he's trending now, would probably need a poor year to fall out. Defensive intensity and physicality alone probably gets him into the first. If the handle and shot continue to develop, it's a lock.
