Does Tang survive another ncaa tournament miss? Just got ran out of the building by Bowling Green

Gonna be patient with Sanchez. We are extremely early in the season and team defense takes a while to gel. Great potential individual defenders but the entire team is new. By February we will hopefully see a difference.

I just can't see him surviving a 3rd straight missed NCAAS (if they miss this year) they're giving him tons of NIl money. I think he's a decent coach. But I think think he struck lightning in a bottle with the Nowell&Johnson pairing that took them deep his 1st season

If he gets let go by KSU and if this is something he would at least consider, I'm sure Drew would welcome him back on our staff with open arms. I don't think it's a coincidence that we haven't been able to play defense ever since he left.

Drew staff can't get any larger or they will need 3 rows behind the bench...

Per ESPN sources, Kansas State is firing Jerome Tang for cause. They’ve informed him of this formally tonight. The basis for the for cause firing is language in his contract that references any activity that brings “public disrepute, embarrassment, ridicule” to Kansas State. https://t.co/OFXFG0pq4K

K State trying to get out of the buyout or at least reduce it by going for the "cause" angle.

This is so embarrassing for K State. You signed Tang to a dumb contract. You can’t afford the $18 M buyout. Now you’re bringing up wildly subjective contract language to fire him for cause.

I expect Tang’s lawyers to rip this to shreds and I hope they do. https://t.co/DCiUZ0KKDu

Why would you want the Kansas State job after this? Can't get upset and go off on your team? Team was losing. Jerome Tang knew how bad it was. And it was bad. But taking his buyout over a heated press conference should make every viable candidate tell their agents to think twice.

K-State on firing Tang for cause: "Recent public comments and conduct, in addition to the program's overall direction, have not aligned with K-State's standards for supporting student-athletes and representing the university."
