Evidently in K-States game on Saturday the players covered their names on the back of their jerseys to show either 1) how upset they were at Tang's comments, or 2) how true Tang's assessment actually was of their performance.

Now K-state trying to fire him for cause? Because of that video? Ridiculous- he said nothing in there that deserved being fired for cause. Now he did hurt the sensibilities of the paid professional players on the team. But the administration is going to try and convince a court that he disparaged some poor little snowflake students. So they are paid professionals when it suits them, but "student athletes" when they are to be treated like children.

Sad to see this happen to Coach Tang, though he may feel some relief for being out of a really bad situation. This may be the lamest legal attempt to get around a contract. If Tang's words about a horrendous quit job by the players is considered an embarrassment to the school, the decision to fire him for those words is the greater embarrassment.

Well, looks like I've found a new team to root against every time they're on TV.

It's one thing to just acknowledge that it isn't working out and it's time to part ways (which BTW, they could have at least waited until the season officially ended to do so).

Had they simply done that, then it's possible the two sides could have come to a reasonable middle ground as far as the buyout was concerned.

But the way K-State is trying to get out of paying Tang entirely is 100% bush league, and I hope he gets every single dime from them that he's owed.

It's crazy how much K State telegraphed this, too. They straight up said they couldn't afford to buy him out, then pulled this BS. This will be a very expensive lesson, one that their AD likely won't be around long enough to learn.

I remember a coach losing to baylor in football pre or early Briles days and fat shaming their fat little girlfriends.

He kept his job. The got fired for putting an espn broadcasters son in a shed.

Comical stuff goes on at the various land grant type schools and jucos

Nothing like the ruhtarded stuff at the Baylor leadership Bible study bunko group but comical nonetheless
