Dylan Mingo was the top PG in the country in some rankings. That's not a statement you could have made about anyone on Baylor's roster in history, at what is unquestionably the most important position in college basketball.

I know the vibes are generally awful for Baylor sports right now, and worse in basketball than a long time, but this is a genuinely significant and positive development that in my view potentially dramatically changes the outlook on the season. Of course at this point it's just an expectation, not a guarantee.

Also consider this for just a second --- in the fall the #1 ranked QB from 2024 and the #1 PG from 2025 could both be playing on Baylor's campus at the same time.

Got it, thanks for clarifying. I agree with most that this is a really positive development. If he can't go this year that's obviously disappointing, but based on the muddy reports it would seem that playing this year is not out of the question. It's not a ACL/mcl or Achilles which would certainly rule him out.
If anything it's nice to get the mojo of getting another top recruit. We won't be too reliant on him to set the offense. We have other pieces to do that. His brother was a big time get and should be an instant upgrade. The ability to get into the lane is huge! We have really struggled to have a guard that could get into the paint and so much with the ball. I do feel like we need one more solid proven shooter to be a dangerous team.

Dunno if this has been posted already. Great showcase of the Mingos in top form against some high level HS competition, notably Cam Boozer. I'd be surprised if Kayden's 3PT % doesn't improve significantly next season.
