Yeah, when I first heard of revenue sharing I was hopeful that would help level the field a little bit but it's actually gone the opposite way with NIL and other forms of funneling money to players to get them to attend a school. I would love to see the 1 time transfer rule before sitting out but I'm sure that would get challenged as well.

I guess I'm gonna need 2 favorite teams going forward -- Baylor, and then 1 of the 10-15 schools that have astronomically higher budgets than others.

The question I would like to know is who in the athletic program pushed the hype on this guy like he was coming from the NBA. It was an incredibly stupid thing to do as it created ill will from other programs and put him in an impossible situation. 30 seconds of looking at his career, stats, etc. told you this was an emergency addition when we were out two centers for the season. There was no other or better options last fall.

I still enjoy the games, but my investment/engagement level between seasons is almost nonexistent. There's nothing worth investing in year to year, so it's just a superficial/transactional relationship that starts when the season kicks off and ends when the season's over or I lose interest, whichever comes first.

And my relationship with these transfers is strictly transactional, too. I'll grow attachment to some of them, but I view most as the mercenaries they are. If they do the job they were brought in to do, I'll like them. If they don't, I won't. Any connection I feel to them is tied almost exclusively to their performance.
