Congrats on your 10th 20, Coach Drew!!!
"Smarter than the Average Bear."
And those two seasons on their own would still stand up near the top of most season wins in BU basketball history.OsoCirujano said:
After his first 4 seasons of rebuilding (which I prefer to forget about), he has only had 2 years in 12 without 20 wins.
Right? How many Big 12 Championships does anyone without a cartoon bird on their jerseys have?CSIBear said:
Amazing stat. Drew has done a fantastic job at Baylor.
It's funny to read the "he hasn't done anything since we don't have a Big12 championship" posts. Those guys are clueless.
That figure is all the more impressive because Drew's first couple of seasons shouldn't even count in the tabulation.Yogi said:
This will make your head explode:
Scott Drew has 10 20 win seasons at Baylor.
Prior to Scott Drew, Baylor had 3 20 win seasons in the previous 97.

1. Clown starts thread denigrating Drew for not winning conference championships.
2. Clown gets pummeled like an extra in a Three Stooges pie fight.
3. Another thread started praising Drew for another unexpected achievement.
4. Clown shows up and says "but what about conference championships?"
You keep posting this. When they hired Drew, they just wanted someone with a real resume to take the job. Drew has vastly exceeded any existing or reasonable expectations for that hire.xiledinok said:
Great accomplishment. Baylor needs this to market to their local fanbase. Get people in the seats.
Fyi, when they hired Drew (like Bliss), they believed he could win conference championships. They wouldn't have hired him had they known that winning a conference championship would not happen. I believe they hire Baylor coaches believing they could win conference. They do at other schools in the league.
I don't think this job is nearly as attractive as you think it is. You're playing third fiddle to football and women's basketball in most cases and playing conference games in front of 4,000 fans. Neither are attractive to most big-time men's basketball coaches.Porteroso said:
Have to say Drew has done a great job here, and really he's turned the HC job here from something nobody would touch with a 10 foot pole, really to quite an attractive job. Other mess at Baylor is probably offputting to most prospective coaches, but once Drew leaves (probably retires), he will have given us a great shot at a good coach going forward.
For sure, that stat is impressive. Hope to win even more going forward!
