Excellent ball movement today which is creating so many open shots. The defense today is outstanding. Raining 3's. I think we're finally seeing the team play the style that CNC wants. Exciting BB! Sic'em! Can't wait to hear CNC & players in post game interview

I do believe we are seeing what CNCs system is capable of. Just have to have a reliable 3-point shooter on the court.

Another undeniable great defensive performance by BU. What a total beatdown.

Random thoughts-

Lots to be pleased with today. Great shooting game across the board.

What also impressed me is the physicality of this team. Jaden Owens plays really good defense. She got some questionable fouls called against her- but she is scrappy.

If I picked two though to be in a foxhole with me it would be Queen and Bickle. They are tough and don't seem to back down.

I hope whoever wore Queen's jersey today keeps wearing it. Best game I have ever seen her play. She is getting much better about shot selection. Today, instead of just throwing up a wild shot after an offensive rebound she was looking for an open teammate to throw it to. Maybe the game is slowing down for her. And when did the free throw fairy come and give her perfect form and a soft touch from the line. Great arc on her free throws.

I've never seen any team look for a foul shot any more than ISU. Ho Hum

So it turns out that there IS a new sheriff in town, after all!

Just got back from the game...that was fun! There was a ton of energy in the Ferrell Center and the team played so well. Time to go win a couple on games on the road....

Good show all around Bears. Tons' of confidence built out there today.

Great win for this team. I'm sure there will be a couple of games like this one and a couple of ones that look like some of our head-scratching losses, and a lot in between. The fact that a victory like this occurred in the first place is a very good sign. This team will go as far as Egbo can take us. Smith is Smith but we need more in the front court than her. If they play like this, Elite 8. Sure wish we had more depth, but it is what it is.

I guess my question is...where has this team been all year???

ACC, PAC, and B1G are all three better - B1G is the best SEC just as bad as B12. But our conference needs and deserves better officiating (both men and women).

The distinction between their and there is probably more of a third grade error than a college error. But, I will concede that despite having two Baylor degrees, you caught me quick typing on a fan forum. Thank you for the correction.

I am not sure what the redshirt policy is for college basketball right now. Is there something similar to football where you can play a minimum number of games and still redshirt? If not, I have to think she has some nagging injury and is available for emergency situations. Nicki did not mention her by name in the post-game interview on the radio. But Nicki did say she did not have any more of a bench to put in the game in the closing minutes.

Gillespie did participate in the pre-game warm-ups.

That could make sense. I think the basketball regular (non-medical) redshirt rules are (weirdly) a lot stricter than football. It would make sense they would dress her out for emergency situations but not play her otherwise if they were viewing a redshirt. I had assumed before this game she was just struggling to get playing time behind Smith, Egbo, and Bickle, but when walk-on player went in with 4 minutes left in game I got really curious.
