Now someone please explain to me why she was relegated to sitting on the bench in the previous season.

Moon Ursin, D. Carrington that's why.

Although she had some depth in front of her, I always thought that she could have had more minutes last year. Certainly not a starter's minutes. However, 10 quality minutes per game would have helped in the postseason. Also, this seems to be a good system for her skills.

I don't think Kim was particularly pleased with the way Jaden guarded. Watching her this year, that seems unimaginable…..

Just guessing here, but maybe she's mite suited to the new system than the old. Probably not since Mulkey recruited her. Maybe she improved dramatically over the last year. Like I said, I'm just guessing.

when you think about it KM was not going to sit Didi or Moon or Carrington for Jaden to have minutes although i believe she could have had Trinity's minutes and let Carrington Start. I think she could have been a great defensive weapon but it is what it is and i'm glad the new coaching staff finds her strengths and really is finding ways to highlight those in this system

My feeling last year was that she was too foul prone. She would enter the game, commit multiple quick unproductive fouls, and have to go back to the bench in a short time.

I rarely agree with the practice where you look at a player's performance in the current year and say "how come she didn't play more last year, then?" The answer is almost always, "because she's improved a lot since then." Gerry Bohannon is another example to me. If you thought his play last season was anywhere close to what it was this season, I don't know what games you were watching. I don't think Jaden's improvement was as obvious or dramatic, but I don't see her committing as many unproductive fouls.

But like a game after ISU last year where she was the reason we really even had a shot to win why did that not win her some minutes when we see that she is able ti produce if given the chance to

I hope you all watched the MBB beatdown of KSU last night...go check out the box score and see how much playing time the end of the bench got....

There will never be a basketball team that does not have playing time issues of one sort or the other and coaches in big time programs understand the need to get the win first, then keep your players you are counting on sharp. 7-8 players will always soak up the minutes.
