"Hey guys! I got us a game!"
"Fire the coach. At least then we might have a chance!"
"Mommy won't let meeeee!"
Baylor football’s home-and-home series against Oregon has been canceled, according to Duck Territory. The Ducks were set to visit Waco on Sept. 11, 2027, while the Bears were slated to travel to Eugene to face Oregon at Autzen Stadium on Sept. 9, 2028.
This decision comes months after the Bears had their 2026 season-opener against Auburn moved from Jordan-Hare Stadium to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons.
With the expanded College Football Playoff, it’s becoming a more popular trend to cancel non-conference matchups against Power Four opponents in favor of adding a home game against a more winnable team.
Instead of facing Baylor, Oregon is set to host Coastal Carolina. The Bears' 2026 home matchup against SMU was previously canceled, and they will instead face Louisiana Tech on Saturday, Sept. 19.

And replaced them with Maryland. Head scratcher there. Whatever makes Reverse Cowgirl happy I guess. The 2'7" AD has all the mettle of Ralph Wiggum.
