Actually T-Rex and his ridiculous, ex-jock, never went to Baylor, my thing is bigger than yours embarrassing *****ck is the joke around these parts. Most of us actual Baylor alumni wish he would pick another school to tag on to.

And, for the record, I was trying to temper the "guaranteed Final 4 team" posters on here from before this season began. And, I guarantee you that I am a bigger financial supporter of Baylor athletics than you plus your entire extended family are.

Go away......

CKM is GONE! GONE! Yep, she is. CNC post game comments regarding D assignments, etc. kinda goes back to coaching and discipline. One thing CMC STRESSED for 20+ years was just that.. Defense. You didn't do it, you were out. CNC offensive scheme may be different from CKM and takes adjustment time. Defense not only wins Championships, but will keep you in games when, offensively. you might be at a disadvantage. Defense takes discipline and hustle... COACHING. Just my opinion, but i haven't been convinced that has been stressed sufficiently season long. Now with a short # of players maybe fatigue is an issue. Basically, this is a mulligan year, I guess. With a full roster CNC will be judged appropriately. Hoping, but not completely convinced.

So let's sit the players and play 4 because 4 our able to play defense because the other 3 have not had a break the entire game. Yes i know you mentioned fatigue but it is so frustrating like y'all have been itching for them to lose so y'all come and find reasons to bash them.

The previous coach had a couple of years with short rosters due to transfers, internal issues, etc. same #'s situation. Just sayin'.

Yep the last time she had anything close to this situation was the 2017-2018 season she had 10 roster players that all received a scholarship, and had leaders on the team that didn't have to learn a new system the same time the freshman did. The big 12 conference was not as strong as it is right now. This year we have 8 scholarship players and a walk on from the league at the rec center. And the freshman post we recruited has upside but needs a lot of work before she is ready for the BU level of play so we have 7 players. That's it Nalyssa Smith Cannot full court press and score 30 points and get 20 rebounds she is good but she is not God. Jordan Lewis cannot do that, Sarah cannot do that, Boston from South Carolina can't do that, Alexis Morris from LSU cannot do that. You cannot do that so to only lose by 1 to a team with that must pace and we must conserve energy because if you didn't know Lyss went the whole 1st quarter, Queen was getting frustrated and committing fouls so they had to take her out. When there is a flow in the post we run better. When we are able to have rotation we run better but people are going to attack us because they see that is when we thrive and i think that is the first time that has been tested and Texas is only going to be worse so we have to battle adversity.

oh and PS 2017-2018 season we lost in the sweet sixteen to Oregon State. That was the last time Kim had a depleted roster.

I feel sorry for you - really sorry - I learned a long time ago that people with anger issues like you have it because their life is in such disarray that the only way they feel good about themselves is to belittle, attack and berate others to make themselves feel better.
Why else do you answer SicEm's posts with a personal attack. You have an ignore option - use it. If you feel compelled to respond argue the talking points instead of attacking the poster.
SicEm can post whatever he/she wants - wither you agree with it or not is fair game for discussion.
What SicEm and others post defines them. How you respond defines YOU !
This is supposed to be a BOARD FOR FANS.. Many board readers are not clicking on to this board any more because of all the divisiveness. It's got to stop from all posters - we all should be here to support the team and staff we have - they are really hurting right now and they really need us ALL behind them right now. Two of them do read this board !!
CKM is gone - she is at peace with her decision and she is happy where she is at - EVERYONE needs to Let it go !!
I have enjoyed your posts over the last few years and I knew you had some issues with Kim when she was here and winning...but you were knowledgeable and defended your positions well...Sicem 45 is a different sort of poster...he or she seems to have come here after Kim left and does everything possible to discredit Kim and down play our past enjoyed success...you talk about divisiveness well Sicem 45 is the poster child...and it gets under peoples skin...I don't understand what you have in common
Thank you for your comment. Yes Its true I started having issues with Kim after the Oregon State game. I was so incensed at what happened after that game that I did not renew my 6 season tickets and accompanying "donation" required to keep said seats' as well as Tip off Club (that I had since 2004). That coincidentally is the same 2017 time her luster with Rhodes and Livingston began to wear off. Kim was on thin ice 2018 with them and it got thinner as 2019 started - Then she won the NC,,,,,,,,,, go back and listen very carefully to what she started to say to interviewer right after the game - she stopped herself or someone waved her off (Makenzie maybe ???) because even the interviewer did not press her on what she was going to say,,,,,,, but knowing more then most about the BU WBB situation at the time the NC saved her job. I do not like a lot of things about Rhodes and especially Livingston but one thing they are not is stupid and firing a NC coach would have been stupid - it bought Kim a couple of years - I sent Kim an email after the NC parade telling her some observation I had made and she responded back asking me to email those observations to Rhodes and Livingston which at the time I thought a strange request but now with 20/20 hindsight I see why.
I personally know one of the athletes on Kim's "best recruiting class" that is still on this team and that has brought me back into the program as far as supporting the players. I like CNC but I have one very big issue with her and time will tell how that works out or doesn't. I do like her vision and her outreach to AAU clubs that have black balled BU because of CKM issues.
My Point is Kim was in deep dodo with the administration and she knew it. I firmly believe she was considering retiring or moving on in late 2019 but Kim is not stupid either.....she knew she had a NC contender in 2020 and no way she was going to walk away from that. Then China virus hit and into 2021 and a deep run in the tournament was possible and then the DiDi and Moon collision and DiDis subsequent almost miraculous quick recovery. My comments on the how the DiDi situation was handled are well known. But for me that for me was the final straw with CKM. Kim said timing is everything more then once and LSU offer came at the right time. Go back and look at the time line......the CKM to LSU was in the works (on a preliminary level) way before it became common knowledge.
Several posters have said Kim had transfers lined up to come before she left ---- not true .....Lewis was the only one to show interest....no one else of the quality player needed was interested in coming to BU. If Kim had someone lined up they would have been signed because she knew she needed more help !!!
I have said it before and I repeat it now - I firmly believe Kim was sent by God to rescue Baylor at a time it needed a miracle and she delivered BIG TIME in 2005. The Baylor family can never thank her enough - anyone who doubts that she saved BU athletics and probably Baylor is brain dead. There would be no Heisman, no new football stadium, no MBB NC, no resurgence on the national level on sports across the board if she had not come to Baylor.

As I stated earlier, I guess this is a mulligan year. CNC will appropriately be judged when we have a full roster. IMO, once you get past four/five Women's BB coaches, it's basically a crap shoot. I say that because, in college Women's BB, it's hard for me to consider there are "blue bloods". Case in point... TN. Recruiting fell off. I STILL get a little amused from a Thread, early on, right after CKM was announced she was leaving that... "not to worry BU is a "Destination' job. CKM will be successful at LSU, her history, record and DNA shows that; she hates nothing worse than losing, her ego can't handle it. BU, on the other hand, possibly may be another TN. Time will tell.

Absolutely fascinating perspective! thanks for sharing the recap from your view point...I am not disagreeing with you on the facts as you perceived them to be, I think you had much more insight than I would have or sources for additional information.

I will say the lawyer in me would just point out there is always two sides to the story and no matter how close you are to the story if you are an outsider and not one of the principals you will always lack some of the facts and perspectives of the principals...does not mean you right and I am wrong if we have different perspectives of the facts just we see things and perceive things differently...

I guess honestly I do not disagree with you on anything but I like Kim and support her because of that emotional fan attachment so I may see things just a bit differently than you. I do not doubt that there were issues the question is who caused the issues? Kim or Mack and Linda or both or what? Usually in any breakdown or conflict between folks their is fault on both sides with bad communication as a likely driver of discord.

I think Kim as a women coaching other women in a sport she devoted her life to had to have a gigantic chip on her shoulder to survive and I am sure it drove or got under some folks skins....and remember the evolution of society took place over time not all at once so Kim has been along for the ride fighting and clawing for everything she got for her self and her program. Maybe she did not recognize Mack and Linda to be as enlightened as they said and just kept pushing like always and made them frustrated who knows?

It may have absolutely been inevitable and no doubt she is gone for good...but unfortunately in the WBB world BU got a black-eye for basically letting a HOF coach walk or pushing her out the door. Might not mean a thing in terms of us as BU fans or the world in general but WBB folks notice stuff like that...whether we like it or not it looks like the program is being changed to save money which is not necessarily a bad thing...either. depends on perspective. I do know that mack and Linda have taken the absolute high road to date publicly and I do appreciate that...while I enjoyed the Sports Illustrated (?) article about Kim I wish she had not been so honest from her perspective...Baylor did a lot for her as well during her run. I would not say she took the low road but it was not the high road either...of course that is Kim as well certainly wears her emotions on her sleeve. another reason I like her, emotional folks tend to be honest they can't help themselves.

So look forward to seeing how things turn out for Kim and WBB at BU. I will always be fascinated by it. CNC was put in an impossible situation...a lot of folks talk about her Press conferences and it just seems to me she is under a tremendous amount of pressure and expectation and she does not seem to be real happy...I wonder if she has any regrets. I think as a coach you walk a thin line from being disappointed with a loss and how you played v disappointed with the team and the situation (job) you have. Kim was good about being pissed or joyous or even bored, yet loving what she did...

I definitely noticed that Kim did not have the same " fire" the last 2 years that she previously had. It was particularly noticeable in games and in her press conferences last year. I wondered several times last year if she was losing her passion or just felt there was nothing left for her to prove at Baylor and was considering retirement.
