She also played a big role in all those transfers bolting after she left, sabotaged the team this season. Nicki came in with a thin roster and some very limited players. She is doing the best she can under the circumstances

Exactly, the only thing more CNC have done was put on Jordan's Jersey and play as her. She was in the refs all night calling plays bouncing around trying to get energy to push her athletes. But the posters that are at home during the games might not see that. Coach Tony is also the same way he gets the guards going. Sarah is killing it. The Games I am at I totally agree. She is trying to fire them up. We don't have any real fiery players.

If we are ok with being top 25 you are right. I just don't see real top 10 or top 5. I disagree. You think with this team and returners and 3 freshman we are going to be ok with top 5 or 25? How many bigs are coming? 6'4. Forward. So no real post. Great size at guard for sure. That is fixed. But, still no point guard. So, I'm don't think we will be ok unless we get a point and a real big.

Top 5?? Don't see it. Hope so. But not hopeful. Top 25 heck yes.

I'll use Notre Dame as an example. Had to revamp full team. Brought in 2 great freeman. One is a stud point. And a great transfer post. Still had a top 5 recruit in Sam B. And a 5 star in Maddie Westbeld. They are right around top 4 ACC and top 20. Rising. But rising because elite point guard that is an elite passer and creates her own shot.

Do we have a point coming in?? Until we get a REAL I just don't see it.

I am super happy we are getting tall guards.

Do think it will be a down year next year. Mid pack big 12.

Nicki is a wizard on the offensive end. She knows how to space the floor and put kids in a position to be successful. The development of Andrews is amazing, the previous staff under utilized her badly. We have an elite class coming in next fall. Great things are ahead for this program but people need to stop freaking out about the mess left by the previous staff and then want to blame Nicki

We have our Elite Point Guard she kept us in the game tonight goes by the name of Sarah Andrews She is gonna go down in a history book at Baylor with the way she is playing right now.

yes I do agree we need a good post player in the portal. I would like to get a Sophomore if i was really picky so they can develop with us but have some experience.

If we get a Rickea she will be the top transfer in the nation next season unless something crazy happens this off season. She will be a great Wing for our program if we can snag her and will bring leadership to the team and also we will have Bickle she is going to thrive with all the young players next season. Especially because she is understanding the concepts that the staff is talking about she will
be able to take players under her wing especially Kyla.

Sarah was the number 2 ranked point coming out of high school. I would move her over. If that truly is the case so it now so she can be ready. She is basically playing off ball wing.

Play spread movement game next year. And get a top transfer and rebuild goes faster. Like Dodson going to Notre Dame. If the new recruits can shoot the three too. If they can…poof. We are back.

I just think it is because Jordan has been there done that. Sarah has her moments they are working her to ease into it.

One thing I've learned over the years in my sports spectator career....I like winning games by 1 much better than losing by 1.

We have seven players. It's hard to play intense defense for the entire game with a short bench. I'm not saying this as an excuse, but it is a reality that many posts on these forums seem to disregard as inconsequential -- preferring to blame CNC and/or lament CKM's departure. We won't really know what the program is going to be / look like moving forward for another two seasons in my view, and the idea that Baylor (or any program) would simply pick right up where the previous coach left off without any "growing pains" is not realistic. This isn't a comment solely about this particular post, but was spurred by the "neither exists under this coaching staff" comment, which I don't see as fair / accurate -- but everyone's entitled to their opinion / perspective. It's clear that CNC is working incredibly hard to implement game plans that work with her current roster, while also implementing her style of play. To do so with a full roster would entail some challenges in the first year, but to do so with seven players in a much-improved BIG 12 conference is an even greater challenge. I'm honestly impressed with what this team is doing under the circumstances.

You needlessly irritate many long-time WBB fans who actually have nothing but good wishes for CNC and this year's team when you always feel like you need to criticize KM in your praise of CNC. Just praise CNC and leave KM out of it. You do not need to always say that "Even if Kim had stayed, she would not be winning the Big 12 this season." Perhaps you just like to stir the pot. Honestly, you make the KM comparison more than anyone on the Board, you seem obsessed with KM.

One truth you do know is that Kim would have gotten additional players. Three straight years she picked up the diamond she needed in the portal. I imagine she would have again. And, another truth you know is that Kim had won the conference so many years in a row, that many can't even recall the number. For you to come in and predict oh, this is the year she would have lost, is a bit much and you also have the luxury of knowing you can't be proven wrong.

Go CNC and this year's team. CNC has done many things right this year, and I believe she will develop a very strong Big 12 program.

You do realize we got a much later start than CKM had when she used the portal and we tried to get several other transfers that fell through including Latasha Lattimore, Angel Jackson, and Lavender Briggs. Just didn't work out.

Yes, that gap because of the coaching change would have made it more difficult for CNC through no fault of her own. I know CNC tried to pull in some transfers. I don't know if KM had her sights on another star transfer or not before she left- but historically, I imagine she did. But any coaching change is generally going to generate a few problems. This wasn't CNC's fault.

I wasn't trying to criticize CNC for not immediately landing a Carrington -Cooper-or Jackson type.

Like everyone else, I am disappointed we lost last night, but I remain hopeful that even if we can't win the Big 12, we finish within the top three or four. We still have a lot of talent on this current team and can win some games in the tournament. I think CNC has shown that she can coach and recruit and I am certainly willing to give her time to develop her program.

We beat 1 good team during the 5 game win streak and a bunch of bottom feeders. And if we're being completely honest we had zero business beating KU they crapped the bed. We showed signs vs ISU of what this team could be. But it's lacking consistency at this point. Tomm will tell a lot.

These teams that are bottom feeders won big games in this conference. Yea i agree we showed inconsistencies but we won like dang what else do you want. You're the first person to say I have anger issues that's a first m. I'm actually quite calm. You'll also notice if you read other threads I'm all abroad the CNC train. I do however stand up to idiot posters and yes I will call him an idiot. When you can't make a single post on these boards trying to build up CNC while tearing down Mulkey there's an agenda . That's exactly what's going on with sicem45. Most on here have moved onto CNC myself included, I don't drag Mulkey into convos that's done by posters such as sixem45 who are doing so to drag her down while building up CNC.
