I will regret this, but you told me months back there were no documented studies/research that indicated that anti gay stances play any role in where an athlete choses to go to college to play. I argued that if my doctoral and Ed.s level interns had time we would consider conducting one as I suspected for SOME (very minor number) it could be a factor.

Fairly certain that wasn't my comment.

I understand what you are saying about negative recruitment as I have experienced negative recruiting, not against Baylor, but in the "that school has lots of lesbians on their team" or "their coach was a lesbian" so you should come to our school. It was 20 plus years ago and times were different. It was hard to hear all that at 17 or so, and I can only imagine the crap that goes on for top level athletes in womens basketball.

A sizable % of the population lives to hyper-infuse political issues into every topic. [Note: significant difference from recognizing an issue from extremist pushing pf an issue].

I really don't want to argue… I would love to talk basketball with you as I know you seem connected and have great knowledge. Can we please just leave the other out of it? Months back you also said our style of play had "caught they eye of over 6'5 types" and I believe you said from the Oregon area or maybe you said from the west coast. Do you have any other info for us or does this still seem accurate?
Adriacus, one day I would like meet you in person as you definitely are intriguing.

I referenced a quality "big" from Texas playing in the Pacific Northwest who was/is in play for a potential transfer. That situation is progressing. Baylor is well situated. Current players are extremely sophisticated on the connection between specific playing styles in college and professional achievement. The single biggest negative recruiting item Baylor faced was skill translation to the pros. They notice which programs have a high % of starters find WNBA spots…..and which don't. UConn's biggest selling point is winning championships while leaving pro ready.

Get too close to me and the various factions on this board may convict you in absentia via guilt through association. Hard facts & hard opinions are not allowed.

I have lost track...is it good or bad now to have a WBB program/school supportive of LGBTQ?

I would think that it would still depend on the individual. Are there levels of interaction that may or may not make your program more attractive to recruits?

In opposition
tolerant of
in support of

Can you vary your level of support, tolerance and opposition to Individual letters within LGBTQ? and still be attractive to recruits?

Glad to hear it is progressing and we are in a solid position. There was a international big everyone was discussing… are we still probably going to sign her?

Can't speak to what others may have posted…….but the European post player I heard about is highly unlikely to be focused on basketball given current events.
