There is still room for more 2018 recruits. Three spots I believe, but it is good to have an available spot should a top transfer become available as Jones did.

2018 Taylor Chavez verbal commitment to Oregon

Oregon is one of the most interesting WBB programs in the country right now. They have the potential to build a great team. Time will tell.

I don't feel like Chavez had a commitable offer

Interesting is right. They have quite a few international players (euro and australia), more than most teams have on their roster. Mix of either guards or bigs with not many true wings. If Graves euro-experiment pans out for him, it may change some of the scope of recruiting for other mid to upper level D1 teams.


Based on the current PAC-12 team rosters, I am sure they will have a strong couple years in the PAC12. But, I doubt they will sneak up on as many teams this year as they did in last years NCAAs.

I agree. This was more like "Baylor chose DeCosta and HSG" over Chavez instead of Chavez choosing Oregon over Baylor.

That has been my feeling since we landed Smith and DeCosta. I think she is MSU's to lose.

HSG was Baylor's target. Chavez was Baylor's speed-dial.

Anyone have any new info on Egbo. Any chance that she is taking an OV to Baylor?

That may be so but MSU has two centers who look pretty good, who have made their verbal commitments, and are part of their 2018 recruiting class. So I would be surprised.

This is nothing but an assumption with no factual information to support it but I think Queen really wants to go to TX but they're gambling that CW commits to them. If this is true then the irony may be that TX loses out on both and misses an opportunity for an excellent player like Queen. But I'm not in the TX circle so they may something the rest of us don't. Now back to getting my crystal ball fixed!

I agree I would love for her to go to BU but I feel like she is a Texas lean. I hope my gut is wrong.

Apparently she was ready to commit to Texas but she was put on the back burner waiting to see if they got C. Williams. Most athletes that would piss off and they would move on. No idea how she feels about that happening.

Yea, I also heard the same. Rumor Was supposedly she ready to commit the day she did her OV but was told by the staff to wait because Collier might commit to Texas.. and she did. But I think she still likes Texas. But as a former athlete and a parent of a top 2020 recruit i Would definitely be pissed off if that happened to my daughter. But at the end of the day recruiting is recruiting and stuff happened. You either Accept it and take the risk or move on.

If you go back to the First Post you will see in CAPS the schools of most of the players.

There is one player that may still be of interest, Stephanie Soarles, 6'6" Post, slimecap has
provided us with some interesting background information on this young lady. Great story
and athletic genes. Makes for a good read.

Yea I caught that. She seems to have a good head on her shoulder on and off the court.
