You don't get championship coaches every day, and when you do, you better hang on to them.
well….she is rightfredbear said:
In her postgame, Kim took an indirect, yet clear, shot at Our AD and president. The LSU AD knows how to do it right. Even after a natty, revenge is on her mind. Odd, she lets MR and LL have rent free space in her head.
. Agreed. You should call out Clark as well though….bear2be2 said:I don't have a problem with trash talk. It's not my style, but whatever.Green&Gold/Maize&Blue said:
Good lord, do you even watch basketball? Clark is an epic trash talker and she can back it up. Clark is the one who started the wave of hand in face a couple of games ago. It was just given back to her. Please stop acting like she didn't do anything to provoke
Angel Reese looked kind of silly following Clark around the court after the game, though. Make your point and go celebrate with your teammates.
Chasing a player around to taunt them after a loss is pretty petty. And this is particularly true when that player is better than you are.
naw. That wasn't the reason. She was promised something and then the AD went back on it. She is now making more money and gets more support from the admin. 2 years turned that into a championship while we are going backwards.bear2be2 said:I'm with you. Kim Mulkey is a great coach. I am incredibly happy Baylor has our current coach and not Mulkey. Mulkey could win 4 more national championships and I would still feel that way.
Why?
Gay females were the reason she won her championships. Tell me I am wrong. Mulkey knew they were gay. Mulkey knew they were gay. Knowing that, she recruited them.
Those women made Mulkey famous and made her a multi millionaire.
When Griner finally, after doing as asked and being quiet about who she was, as asked, became honest and told the truth, Mulkey dropped her like a hot potato. I have zero respect for Mulkey.
Is she a great coach? Of course. Does that matter to me in the long run? No. How many NC's did Grant Teaff win? Do I respect him? Yes!!
So, from my perch, I love and respect our coach, and wish nothing but lack of success for selfish narcissistic Mulkey who is where she is today, making millions, but cannot stand the fact that her best ever player had the audacity to say the truth.
It is what it is.

I am a Baylor Bear and I love Baylor. Ive been quiet because Ive been conflicted with the unfortunate circumstances of her leaving Baylor. With that said, If Kim Mulkey would have been Nick Saban, Coach K, Coach Cal or any other successful male coach, she would still be at Baylor. Kim has a big personality. You hate her or love her. There is no middle ground. Many men don't accept that type of personality from women, but welcome it from men. The court, the gym and everything else at Baylor should have been named after her. She earned the right to have a seat at the table. She should have retired at Baylor on her own terms. If any of the above mentioned men would have been demanding and assertive, their requests would have been met and more. Kim knew her worth, went back to her home state, got paid more money, gets her nasty oysters that she likes to eat and won another championship. This was for all the women grinding in male dominated industries. Know your worth and act accordingly.

Brittany fired the first shot with the book. Kim's response was appropriate. If I recall correctly Kim, when asked if she had a statement, said something like no, and you will not. well deserved kudos and all that.
the FIRST wbb coach to lead two teams to a natty.

could easily win another before she retires.
we were lucky to have here at Baylor.
be thankful for that and all the success we had.

yep. So all that should go out the window? Nope. Baylor chose wrong and she left. That's fine. Mack doesn't value women's basketball.Stefano DiMera said:

and that is a fine attitude. You just won't get too coaches with it.bear2be2 said:And were things only a megalomaniac would think they're entitled to in the first place.Stefano DiMera said:

An employee's paycheck is the compensation for their efforts/performance, and Mulkey was one of the highest paid women's basketball coaches in America. Baylor did more than it probably should have for a sport that doesn't drive significant revenue. If that wasn't enough, so be it.

I wonder who that was directed toward?
Not even a return shot at BG. Just refuses to publicly do politics. It in a nutshell. Too busy to be an activist. "Score freakin' board" is/has been pretty much it, and was fine for most that will admit it.Aliceinbubbleland said:Brittany fired the first shot with the book. Kim's response was appropriate. The current leadership hasn't run off Drew yet. That's about the extent of the impact they've had on either of the two national championships.PartyBear said:
Hasn't Baylor had a national title in both men's and women's basketball under the current leadership? It seems they get it.
Until he does get in the way, then boom. Some of their other coaches may also have problems at some point. Right now considering the condition of their football and MBB programs, he was looking for any kind of a plus and was willing to give whatever it took. Not sure how you run an organization if you let a particular employee have their way that can cause problems with your other employees. Seems like a plan for short-term success and a long-term disaster.boognish_bear said:"He gets it. He gets out of the way. The recent MBB and WBB championships had absolutely nothing to do with the current AD. The losing of the WBB coach is the responsility of the current AD.PartyBear said:

Did Drew put that on the floor or choose the verbiage? If not, it had nothing to do with him.Aliceinbubbleland said:The recent MBB and WBB championships had absolutely nothing to do with the current AD. The losing of the WBB coach is the responsility of the current AD.PartyBear said:

And while we are on the topic no one here criticized Drew walking the floor for years along the banner reading NCAA Basketball Champions as if it belonged to his program. Kim said nothing. It should have read NCAA WBB National Champions.

When will this insanity stop..please please stop , she is gone its been two years, we all know what a great coach she is, but she is no longer a Baylor bear. I have posted many times why she is gone and so have others, it got so bad we welcomed her out the door knowing she is one of the greatest coaches, that should tell you something....take your blinders off and see the facts of who she is etc etc..get over it. Stop the whining and get behind the current staff or at least just whine somewhere else.Pecos 45 said:

Which is why we will probably never know & all the continued speculation over an event 2 years ago is a waste of time.
