Baylor’s Cameron Carr and Tounde Yessoufou have both had big seasons, even with the tough season the Bears have gone through. Let’s see where various outlets have Baylor’s dynamic duo mocked late into the college basketball season.

Tounde Yessoufou’s (6-Foot-5, 215 Pounds) Projected Selection:

  • ESPN: No. 24-overall prospect
  • No Ceilings: Toronto Raptors (No. 19)
  • NBADraft.net: Phoenix Suns (No. 22)
  • CBS Kyle Boone: Memphis Grizzlies (No. 12)
  • CBS Adam Finkelstein: Minnesota Timberwolves (No. 29)
  • Yahoo: Philadelphia 76ers (No. 18)
  • NBA Draft Room: Denver Nuggets (No. 24)
  • Bleacher Report: Cleveland Cavaliers (No. 23)

Cameron Carr’s (6-Foot-5, 190 Pounds) Projected Selection:

  • ESPN: No. 23-overall prospect
  • No Ceilings: New York Knicks (No. 26)
  • NBADraft.net: Toronto Raptors (No. 20)
  • CBS Kyle Boone: Second-Round Pick
  • CBS Adam Finkelstein: New Orleans Pelicans (No. 23)
  • No Ceilings: New York Knicks (No. 26)
  • Yahoo: Los Angeles Lakers (No. 22)
  • NBA Draft Room: New York Knicks (No. 25)
  • Bleacher Report: Philadelphia 76ers (No. 18)

Overall Thoughts:

  • Tounde Yessoufou: 18.1 PPG, 5.6 RPG, 1.6 APG, 2.1 STL, 2.0 TO, 32.2 MPG, 47.5 FG%, 31.5 3P%, 75.5 FT%
  • Cameron Carr: 18.7 PPG, 5.7 RPG, 2.7 APG, 1.4 BPG, 2.2 TO, 33.3 MPG, 50.6 FG%, 38 3P%, 78.4 FT%

True freshman Tounde Yessoufou has seen his stock rise over the past couple of weeks. He now has a lottery pick on his projection from CBS Sports’ Kyle Boone, and it’s not all that surprising. If he continues to show he can put the ball in the basket, then he may continue to solidify himself as a pick in the teens or maybe even the lottery. His frame and game should translate quite well to the NBA, plus he is extremely young with a lot of growth potential. This is a loaded draft class, but he is moving up boards late into the season.

On the other hand, Cameron Carr has struggled in a few games recently, as his shooting numbers have dropped and his turnovers have increased. The season is clearly taking a toll on him as he carried the Bears as well as he could for a large chunk of the season. It seems pretty clear that he will be picked in the 20s at this point. That could change as the process continues, but this is where things are trending, which could lead him to come back to Baylor for another year.

Here are some names who were borderline first-round picks last year who decided to go back to school: Duke guard Isaiah Evans, Connecticut wing Alex Karraban, Purdue guard Braden Smith, Duke center Patrick Ngongba, Alabama guard Labaron Philon, Michigan forward Yaxel Lendenborg, Florida wing Thomas Haugh, Kentucky center Jayden Quaintance.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
How can Baylor have TWO possible 1st rounders and Drew have his worst season in 15-20 years?

Technically, Nnaji was not a first rounder.

Because the rest of the team sucks and the coaching sucks.

Because neither one plays the most important position on the court.
