Wow, you guys are a trip. Looks like some people on this board are now psychiatrists diagnosing everything that's wrong about her. KM leaving Baylor is still bothering some people after 2 1/2 years. Some people love her, and some people have nothing but hate and resentment towards her. Some people here are focusing on the negatives and not the positives what she has accomplished at Baylor.
Some of our family members have met KM multiple times over the years at ballgames and community events. She always took the time to talk to us and appreciative that we supported the team. She was never self-absorbed or disrespectful. Everyone has their own opinion about KM, but our families have nothing but positive experiences with her. No hate, bitterness, or resentment from us. Hope and pray the negative nancies on this board find peace.

It'll be a 100 degrees in Nome, Alaska when they find peace.

Well, some of us are not Negative Nancys....... we along with other people we know have had the complete opposite experiences multiple times over the years. She was self -absorbed and disrespectful. Glad you had positive experiences but understand that wasn't the case with many people. They aren't being disrespectful just stating their experiences. I don't think the ones you are calling Negative Nancie's are the ones who need to find peace.... we have all moved on, are behind our coach and this team, and are tired of trying to convince others of our experiences. You are not going to convince us otherwise. We want to talk about BWBB here and not bring up the past drama.

I never said everyone on this boards is a negative nancy. But there are those who are angry, bitter and resentful towards KM for leaving. I didn't bring up the "drama", the negative nancies did. The only topic I brought up was that KM should be rewarded with a statue (maybe in 5-10 years) for bringing 3 natl championships to Baylor. Then the sky fell.
Some fans can say negative things, negative experiences, and they are entitled to their opinions. But this is not an opinion, this is the truth, these are the facts---Baylor WBB is who we are today because of KM (per WBB twitter). Baylor had 21 straight tournaments and 3 natl championships because of KM. You can love her, you can hate her, but those are the facts. Period. No drama.

No one disputes those facts. But, given her abandonment of the program by HER own Free will (also a fact as she was not and never claimed to be fired), given the fact she received fair compensation (within top 5 paid coaches) given the fact Bu was in the process of building brand new bball facilities as a result of the success of BOTH programs, now the university's leadership has to determine what is appropriate now and in the future as a result of both the positive and negative undisputed facts. That is where we stand. All the rest is hearsay.

Never thought she'd coach that long, this contract would put her over 70 yrs old when it runs out. She is all about power & money though, she's proven that, so who knows?
Sounds like she drew up the perfect game plan. As for 70, "Age and treachery will win over youth and enthusiasm every time."

Louisiana Tech just gave her a statue. She did not leave there on best of terms.

Using leaving a program as a reason not to eventually build a statue is silly. She's the only reason BU WBB is even relevant today. Eventually she should get one built at BU

The post you made before this you DID call posters Negative Nancys. That is what made me respond. (And reminds me why I stay off the free board). No one is taking away from what she did at Baylor and we all are grateful. Those are facts. But others experiences and what we know happened at the end are not opinions and are why we feel the way we do. We are not at all angry or bitter like you think.
We are all moving on and excited for the future. And anybody that supports this team should be doing that too instead of fighting over KM.

I totally agree!!!! Kim has been gone for over two years. Regardless of how people feel about Kim, if you support Baylor we need to focus on that and not spend time and effort on useless threads arguing about Kim !

JL,
You have no clue what you are talking about. You have no right to question my family's loyalty to our current WBB program or that we're not moving forward to support Coach NC and this team. We have 5 families (3 generations) who have donated tons of $$ to WBB for 32-33 years before KM, during KM, and currently to Coach NC and this team. Even the teenagers in my family have donated $$ to Coach NC and this team, from their minimum wage PT jobs because they love Baylor WBB.
My initial post about putting up a statue of KM was due to respect and appreciation for her bringing us 3 natl championships. I don't like it either, and sad that she left, but she left our WBB in good shape for the future. So if the whining, resentful, negative nancies want nothing to do with KM and erase her from Baylor's history books, then remove the 3 natl championships. We would have total of 2 natl championships today--1 MBB and 1 tennis. Let's see if any WBB coach can win 3 nattys. We will return to, who is Baylor and where is Waco?

I did not question your loyalty at all. Quit changing my words. My post was regarding defending your experiences with her and the people who disagree and think its best that changes were made. Doesn't mean we cant all be excited for the future but grateful for the past. And speaking of negative your last sentence speaks that way.....I 100% believe CNC and crew can do that. We are not going back to the Where is Waco days so stop with that nonsense.

Beartiger, Last sentence doesn't seem supportive of any future coach. You are a negative prophet. You are obviously emotionally invested in the previous coach which may blind you to objective analysis of issues surrounding her. KM definitely has incredible strengths as a coach and person. She also had significant shortcomings as a BU community team player. Both are and can be true. Today I pray for her healing after a significant cardiovascular procedure. She has a stressful year ahead with high expectations. I wish her full strength for this year's journey both on and off the court. Let's all get behind NC and expect a great season!
