I suspect this was because of Coach Collen.

She belongs on the "Rushmore" of greatest coaches of all time across any sport.

I'll always rember being on the sidelines at the Sweet 16 when she was going head to head with Pat Summit.

Pat ended her legendary career with a loss to Baylor.
The undisputed GOAT .

Anointing someone the "greatest of all time" is generally a pointless exercise (given that we are not currently at the end of time). Claiming that it is undisputed makes the statement absurd as well.

Pat Summit was a great coach and a what she achieved at Tennessee in elevating the women's game is historically significant. That said, her record, does not compare favorably against that of Geno Auriemma.

Very few coaches in any sport have a record that can compare to Geno who has more national titles than Nick Saban.

True but Nick Saban got his in a highly competitive NCAAF environment and only until recent years has Wbb been alot more competitive. Doubt Geno or Pat would have the same records without that.

NCAAF is not highly competitive…. Not sure what you're watching. There's regularly 5 at most teams with a chance to win a title. This years no different

Unfortunately, that is so true. Personally, I have little interest in watching a national championship game between Georgia & Bama or OSU.

Geno won 10 of his 11 titles in 16yrs 2000-16. His first came in 95. He has not won since then. Pat won her 8 from 1987-2008. No one has repeated since Geno in 2016. Nick Saban comes the closest winning 6NCs since 2009 siimilar to Pat but no one else is close. No one not even Saban has won 3 in a row in NCAAF in yrs (possible Georgia could be the first this yr) but it has been done 3x in wbb in the same time frame.(Geno 4 and 3 and Pat once with 3 straight). 18 mens champions since 1987 ( when Pat won her first) and 13wbb programs in the same timeframe including La Tech in 1988 and Tx Texh who are no longer relevent. Until recent years, there was not nearly as much depth in wbb as mens football and easier to get top players rest. No doubt it has been harder to win in NCAAF than NCAA WBB but in recent years Wbb is catching up at a rapid pace.

IMO Kim is the best coach in any sport, at any level.
She could win in the NFL.
