Those 5 were better in college? Gimme a break. The college game hasn't seen a player like Clark ever. The range she has is unmatched. And her passing abilities are criminally underrated. If your docking her for not having a Natty than sure. But if your lining her up next to those you listed as far as their college accomplishments and the eye test she absolutely stacks up

Calling Clark the greatest player in history is LAUGHABLE. There's a player at USC right now who is a FRESHMAN and I guarantee you she will go bucket for bucket with Clark and get stops before Clark could even get one on her.

JUJU WATKINS IS THE TRUTH.

Name 5 players in the woman's game better?
I'm not even s CC fan but her game is unreal. She has 1000 career assists to go with all those points
The question isn't about Clark's ability, which is off the charts. The question is about the ability of her opponents. Think about the best individual players she has gone against this year. Now imagine a WNBA team with 12 of those players on it. How, then, does she compete? That's why college success, however out-of-this-world it may be, is never the best predictor of WNBA success.

To be fair many thought Sabrina was going to take the WNBA by storm. The college game and the WNBA game is just different. Ask Lauren Cox or Kalani Brown. It doesn't always translate and so much depends on the team you're drafted into. That being said, thinking that Clark won't have a WNBA career is a bit ridiculous. Will it take time? Yes. Will she be the God-send of women's basketball? Probably not. But she'll be entertaining, and she'll get her minutes. She can shoot from the half court line and probably make 40% of the shots.

That said, I do think she'll have a transition time as she is forced to battle with the best of the best. And the players in the WNBA have the ability to ensure she doesn't get the shot off or get the pass off. She'll also be sharing both minutes and shots with much better players. So, it is just DiFFERENT. And while she is probably a top ten player in the history of the women's game at the college level, she'll have a lot of work (including adding size to her frame to battle with bigger player) if she is going to be the same level of great at the next level. She can win 3-point shooting contests all day long, but she'll have to play on both sides of the ball and battle constantly to earn that distinction. Can she do it? Absolutely. She has one of the purest shots around. But we all said that about Kelsey Plum and Sabrina in the last decade and neither have taken the WNBA by storm. Both solid players, but not the marquee players they were in college.

Time will tell. But my money is on her figuring it out and being on a WNBA championship team at some point. She's just got the skill set of a winner.

Uniqueness isn't the same thing as greatness. I compared her to Curry, that's hardly a dis. Still, not many people would argue Curry as greatest ever. He's probably barely sneaking into the top 10. That's probably where Clark will end up--though she lacks Curry's championships. Don't know how you can talk about accomplishments and ignore championships. You could make some argument that the UConn players were on better teams, but most of them actually won multiple championships.

Those UCONN teams were dynasty's loaded absolutely loaded with multiple WNBA All Stars on each team. Take Clark off the Iowa team they win maybe maybe 10 games. That's the difference and why that argument is silly.
Will have to agree to disagree. But imo she's absolutely one of the greatest in the woman's CBB

Clark announced today that she won't return to Iowa for a Covid permitted 5th year.I assume she will be chosen by Indiana first in the draft so she will join Boston and Smith. Thus,we will see Clark in the W next season.

How good will Indiana be if they draft Clark? If she is 75% of what many folks think they could be contending within 2 years. Yes/no? Thoughts?

IMHO Indiana will stay at the bottom until they get a decent coach. They've had the #1 and #2 draft picks of the past two years--Boston and Smith, respectively--and they're still bottom dwellers. Las Vegas Aces languished as the San Antonio Stars, which took Kelsey Plum in the draft. Once they moved and got a good coach, namely Becky Hammon, and gathered better players, they emerged as one of the two "super" WNBA teams. Indiana won a few more games last season with Boston, but still way down there. I foresee a lot of shuffling with the Fever as they draft Clark and shed some non-productive players and hopefully do well with trades and free agents in seasons to come.
