Attended a Wings game today. It would be cool to watch a game in Waco. Is that something that can happen?

The Dallas Wings have a contract to play two more years at the University of Texas at Arlington. The Wings recently entered into a long term contract to play in the Dallas Convention Center in downtown Dallas. This agreement starts when the UTA agreement expires. The City of Dallas is spending $18,000,000. to increase the seating capacity to approximately 10,300, and provide other upgrades to the facility.

The Dallas Wings are under two contracts to play in the metroplex, so they will not be playing any games in Waco.

The Baylor women's average home attendance for the 2023-24 season was 5040. The Dallas Wings are averaging this season about 6200 per the latest information I can find. The Baylor women had a winning record, the Wings have a losing record thus far. The Indiana Fever upcoming game is sold out. They have four other home games with less than 500 tickets available. Both teams arenas have a 7000 seat capacity.

Baylor downsized their facility, the Wings are increasing their seating capacity significantly with the Dallas Convention Center.

The Mavs though have played exhibition games at the Ferrell Center, albeit 35 years ago.

That was back when the Carters owned the Mavs, and had just given the money for the entrance foyer at the brand new Ferrell Center. I think they played here twice (Hornets in 1989; Spurs in 1990).
