wake me up when the b12 conference season starts. right now it is rather hard to draw any conclusions other than tcu seems to be a surprise and iowa state a disappointment. last night lsu win over stanford was a hoot watching coach kim flailing about in rage at the officials, her staff and players. i watch them solely because she's so entertaining.

#3 SC up 44-23 at the half over #9 TCU. Froggetes turning over almost every other series. Refs calling game tight, lots of travels on both sides. SC players like machines.

S. Carolina smushing unbeaten TCU in Ft Worth. Ashlynn Watkins with a dunk. HVL taking almost half of her teams shots. Prince looks really flat. And that's just the first half

i watched #18 iowa state lose to #21 iowa 75-69 in sold out carver-hawkeye arena wednesday night on fs1. isu's emily ryan was just awful. she had 9 points and 9 turnovers. i have never seen her play this poorly. fellow kansan, addy brown, sat for much of the game with foul trouble. audi crooks, their big, had 31 muscling around the rim. the twister sisters were 6 for 16 from the free line costing them the win. iowa has won 9 straight v. ames in iowa city.

I'm not sure I have seen ISU miss 10 free throws TOTAL in all the games I have watched them against the Bears or at least it seems so. Certainly an exaggeration, but man, this is so uncharacteristic of ISU.

ISU plays UConn on Dec 17 at 7:30pm CT on FS1. That is odd about the FT misses; overall, the team has lost the fire they had last season. Crooks-Brown-Ryan were formidable.

Big day for Big12 on Saturday: six conference games starting at 1pm CT through 7pm, all on ESPN+. ISU vs OSU is also on ESPN2 at 4pm, the same time we play Kansas. May the odds be ever in our favor.

TCU leading UCF by 20 at the half. Madison Conner has been the hot hand for the froggettes, topping HVL and Prince in the past few games. Hannah Gusters hasn't played for UCF; she did pretty well at OSU, should have stayed.

Hanna not even on the UCF game roster ?????

Gusters and Peterson are both out with injuries. The two have combine avg 40 pts/per game this year. That's a lot of points not on the court.

OK State takes down Iowa State 81-75.

I have to wonder what in the world happened to Iowa Stare?!? I think they brought back most of their players this year.

Iowa State & several other teams are overrated, including OKS and TCU. Both will fall down the road. TX and OK are gone. If we play well, we may end up at the top of the conference.

As the commentators at our game tonight mentioned--we have a team who has played together for awhile. Sarah, Buggs, Fontleroy for three years. Jada and Yaya are second year, and to some extent, Bartley and Abraham. Only Vonleh is the newbie, with Matharu on the way.

I do believe Okie St is over rated, not sure that applies to TCU. Time will tell..

What is also interesting to me is that Colorado recently played that same Utah Tech team we throttled by like 63 points. Colorado won 85-73. I know it can be misleading doing those transitive comparisons, but that is a huge difference.

Glad we get Utah and BYU at home this year (Colorado is home and away). It is tough to go into those venues with altitude and for Baylor our outcomes at BYU have not been good in any sport. We also only get WVU at home this year.

Yes, basketball games are very poor using transitive comparisons because of the many variables (fouls, players sick, can't hit the ocean on uncontested shots, etc.) The pros are really bad. One team can blow one out one day and then lose to the same team the next week.

TCU has two very good shooters, Madison Conner and Van Lith. Conner averaged 19 pts a game last season; this year she averages 16. She's 45% on 3s.
