Gosh, hate to see this, Lee has had a number of injuries. She is their star player and having a great year. She has been loyal, stayed with their program and not transferred. Hope she heals and able to come back before the Ncaa tournament.
If UCF can stay within 10 of TCU in Ft. Worth, there is a way. It may take stars aligning or some crafty schemes, but TCU is not unbeatable in this conference with or without Prince.tmcats said:
word here is that yoki is out for the season. maybe returns for the ncaa tournament. but that's just a wish and a prayer stuff. this injury makes k-state just another good not potentially great team. her injury hurts most on defense as seen yesterday with asu guards going to the goal time after time. not sure how state competes with tcu in a couple weeks, maybe even iowa state beforehand. both have excellent fives.
K-State has announced in a press release that Ayoka Lee has suffered a fracture in her foot.

A return before the end of the regular season is probable, but more will be known in the next couple of weeks. pic.twitter.com/E0Kd2Wj3iP
More power to her, but the end of the regular season is only 6 weeks away, unless they are also adding in the conference tournament. I just can't imagine a foot injury, especially a fracture being able to heal to allow the stress on the foot that would be required to be able to play.tmcats said:
not only that but yoki won't be in playing shape. it's going to be interesting to see how coach mittie adjusts to the new reality starting saturday @cu.blackie said:More power to her, but the end of the regular season is only 6 weeks away, unless they are also adding in the conference tournament. TCU has narrowly escaped many lessor opponents. If Baylor plays well and has a plan for Prince, they win the game in Fort Worth. I expect us to hit 35 southbound with a win.605Bear said:
OSU hands TCU their first conference loss. Cowgirls were down 15 at halftime and went on a 18-7 run in the 4th to hold on for a 60-59 win.
They have certainly shown not to be the pushovers that some here wanted to paint them as when we lost to them. They seem to be like the other good teams in this league, that have their good nights and bad nights, with the good ones overshadowing the bad.BUVA said:

Okie Lite women have been like the WV men: they have the most impressive wins and the most inexplicable losses.BUVA said:

I think its called growing parity. Outside of a very few that are truly elite some teams are still great, but they are less great and more susceptible to unexplainable losses, although basketball, IMO, has always been the most unpredictable and unreliable major sport in which to predict outcomes because of games being effected by referees causing players to miss court time and sometimes just can't hit the side of a barn with their shots. Even those in the top 5 or so, still come up with some head-scratchers. It is not like it was just a few years ago where on the women's side you could bet the house on a team and not feel uneasy about doing it.whitetrash said:Okie Lite women have been like the WV men: they have the most impressive wins and the most inexplicable losses.BUVA said:

Okie Lite wins @ BU and over TCU, yet loses at home to KU (currently 2-6) and UH (currently 1-7).
WV men win @ KU and over IowaSt, yet lose at home last night to 2-5 Arizona St.
Nobody is.Bear2393 said:
Yep, K State probably not near as tough without their best player.
Wow. That margin is a bit surprising.BUVA said:
