Baylor WBB’s Andrews, Vonleh Named Preseason All-Big 12
IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 Conference announced the 2024-25 Preseason Team and Individual Honors on Wednesday afternoon. Sarah Andrews earned her third-straight Preseason All-Big 12 nod, while Aaronette Vonleh was named Preseason Newcomer of the Year with a spot on the all-conference team.
Baylor’s sixth-straight and 11th all-time Preseason Newcomer of the Year selection, Vonleh comes to the Bears after a two-year All-Pac-12 stint in Colorado. During her junior season in Boulder, Vonleh started in all 34 games and led the team with 476 points on the season. Her sophomore year featured three 20-plus-point games with 25 double-digit scoring efforts after transferring from Arizona.
Vonleh shares the 2024-25 Newcomer of the Year honor with TCU’s Hailey Van Lith.
Entering her fifth year in the green and gold, Andrews was named Preseason All-Big 12 for the third straight year.
A first-team All-Big 12 selection in 2023 with two additional second-team nods in 2022 and 2024, Andrews sits 19 baskets away from the program record in three-pointers after already holding the attempts record (659). The Irving, Texas, native has averaged 10.4 points per game across her four years, totaling 1,378 points.
Andrews earned WBCA All-America Honorable Mention in 2023 after a junior season with 25 double-figure games, including over 80% of all conference matchups. Her 30-point showing at Oklahoma that season set her current game-high points record, and she was featured once each as the ESPN National Player of the Week and the Naismith Trophy National Player of the Week.
Baylor and Kansas State were the only programs to feature two players on the 10-member All-Big 12 Preseason Team.
