On stats that I see they have had 19 turnovers.

I was hoping we were a strong squad this year but this isn't close to being a Top 25 team. They may get there at some point later in the season if they can actually find someone who can shoot a basketball and control turnovers against someone other than patsies like Langston and East Texas A&M. But they aren't close at the moment.

I think Nikki needs to realize that we are not a good shooting team. Firing up 25-30 three pointers a game is not a recipe for winning. We need to get back to driving to the basket. This team is very average. I expect us to drop out of the top 25 soon.

Some probably aren't. It is easier to project us as chopped liver. Just let things play out. And expect improvement and more offense with the transfer coming in December.

We aren't. May even finish worse than last season.

Uhhh last season we were sweet sixteen and 4 points away from elite 8. Amnesia? I said Indiana had to be taken as a serious threat having killed stanford. I did not say we were great. So yes, to BU Indiana is a serious threat, certainly good enough.


We have everyone hitting or no one hitting.

Not gonna beat anyone shooting 33% while bricking FTs at a 61% rate. No one to blame but themselves.

I wouldn't stick my neck out at this point so early in the season, not really knowing the strength of opponents as later season results will more clearly define or how things change as the season progresses, especially since our roster will soon be strengthened. Basketball, the sport, especially is too variable from game to game, and it is true at all levels. You can lose by 20 to a team, play them again and win by 15 and lose a third by 5. Just for grins what was your prediction in football when we were at 2-4?

The only thing I will predict is that neither the men's or women's team are rarely going to beat an opponent at the FF line. I never have understood why that cannot be improved. That alone pretty much was the score difference in the game today. Our FG shooting percentage was not much different from IU.

Sticking my neck out how? Predicting Indiana finishes 7th in the B10? I watched them get man handled by a meh Butler squad and Harvard. They may end up being decent but they're nothing special. And the B10 is right there with the SEc as the toughest conference. I'll gladly eat crow if I'm wrong about where they finish.
Football wise I didn't have a prediction at 2-4 that I remember. I guess you could fact check that. Fairly certain before the season I said 5-7 wins

Sorry, I misread your post. Thought you were predicting Baylor would finish 7th in the XII. I'll take your word for it concerning your football assessment.

No I was saying Indiana finishes 7th in the B10. B12 is a lot weaker than the B10. BU will finish top 4 in the league. ISU, BU, KSU, WV I think will be the top 4. Maybe TCU if Prince can stay healthy. Feels like a big if

I predicted Indiana could well be the spoiler. To keep it fun, I'll go out in a limb again and predict we will defeat Villanova by 15 or more. Your thoughts?

Don't know much about Villanova. Doesn't matter tho…depends on BU and which team shows up. Could win by 15…also could loose by the same no matter who the opponent. Hoping for the former. Win by 22

Shooting less than 30% overall and 15% from three will do that to you. I notice they only shot 5 free throws today and only 29 fouls were called total versus the 52 in our game. Different refs or was the style of play completely different from yesterday (probably more the latter, but I saw neither game).

Probably a little bit of both. Unc is much better defensively than the Bears. At least to this point in the season. That played a role in Indiana's shooting percentages. Heels didn't give the Hoosiers many good looks today.
Nova could be tough. Has a chance to wind up as a good win at seasons end so hopefully we come ready today
