We have to bring it up. We still win against Indiana if we hit at the charity stripe! We missed 10 foul shots, hitting only 60 percent. I am not exaggerating when I say that a good middle school club team hits way better than that, and they (95 %) will never see a D1 court. Why no focus on improving here?

Neither our men or women have ever in my memory been known to have FTs as a strong point. I know a lot of professionals have the same problem.

Just wondering......is there a technical reason why players don't use the granny shot any more? It can be extremely accurate, more so than what most players can do with the customary method. Does it mess up your normal FG shooting mechanics? Is it just to avoid ridicule? Didn't Jerry West shoot the granny FT?

Just seems to be if I was a player and I was hurting my team's chances to win because I could not be relied on to make a free throw, I would do something to change that regardless of what it took....more practice time or a different method of shooting.

My guess is the loss of "cool points" is a bridge too far. You are also right about the BU teams in general. I don't get it.

I think, no, I know you are correct. I once had the guy on ignore once, probably should do it again.

Just another poster that wants to take pot shots early in the season after a bad game, because that is all he is here for, regardless of the sport. For three years we have heard this type of "analysis"....average this, average that, junior-high team, etc. But also for three years we have improved during the season. Average teams don't get to the SS and almost E8.

Just let the season play out.
