We were indeed fortunate to not have had a major exodus. We lost Moon--who had fulfilled her obligation by graduating and completing four years--and Hannah Gusters, no big loss there. Maryam Dauda backed out of her commitment, but word was she wasn't going to come anyway as her home state of Arkansas and friends had wooed her to stay.
Core players like NaLyssa, Queen, Bickle , and Sarah stayed and won the Big12 season. I think that speaks volumes for their commitment, with Sarah and Bickle even staying 5 years. Granted, this was before NIL took hold--could they have been enticed to leave? We'll never know.

Man it would be amazing if West Virginia can upset kansas state on monday. I know they dont have enough offensive power but i would like them to beat them
cats played late saturday then tripped to morgantown for a monday afternoon tilt. not a lot working for the purps in that scenario. lee not due to return until the following weekend, and that's a maybe. anyway, would not be surprised to see the cats go down.

Question that maybe someone here can answer - why on Earth is this an early afternoon game? Seems ridiculous given that schools aren't out nationally and it's a dang holiday.

FOX has this as part of a WBB doubleheader this afternoon. Since today is a holiday there are more people at home watching TV. That's why they had afternoon games on MLK Day.

KSU falls to WVU, leaving the Bears and Frogs at the top--for now.

I truly hope our fans show up for this game. If Baylor and TCU win out, this game is for the Big 12 championship.

Lee is a great player! I hope if Coach Midde decides to play her that she is healthy and ready...no further injuries. Many more important games to be played for both teams

This was my expectation when I heard the news. If they had said "sprain" or "bruise" or something like that I could understand when it was said they hoped to have her back before the end of the season (although "end of season" could be many things...regular conference, available for Big XII tournament, NCAA tournament, etc.)

But they said "fracture" and it was her foot, not a hand or finger or something that does not get pounded every time you move, especially run and jump. And having it heal and being able to play on it AND having the confidence to play on it also goes into it. That is why I made the comment earlier that if they expect her back this week, I think they were overblowing the severity of the injury when they said "fracture".
