LETS BEAT IOWA STATE, they have been having a really good stretch lately it will be important for us play team defense and the bench need to be ready to step up.
Depends on which ISU team shows up as to what we will face. They beat Houston.......Houston by 11 at home last night..Baylorwbbb said:

Iowa State coach Bill Fennelly said that Arianna Jackson will be evaluated tomorrow. Said she’s “questionable” for Saturday’s game at Baylor.

You don't think it would be problematic if Vonleh gets in early four trouble and there is no DLB?IowaBear said:
This ISU team blows chunks. No reason to not win handily in Waco vs the Clones
Of course, no one gives sources, but on the DLB thread it supposedly was heard that the players hoped she would be back by the tournament (didn't specify which one). We may not have her for any of the next 3 games. CNC is very protective of this type of information, it seems. More so than Scott.IowaBear said:
Truthfully no. Audi is almost unstoppable if she catches the ball on the block. But keep in mind ISu is limited beyond Audi. Emily Ryan has struggled a good chunk of the year too. They just don't have the horses to keep up imo. BU would have to play pretty bad to lose this one even without DLB who I personally would rest even if she's close to 100%. She is needed vs kSu more than against ISU
For what it's worth, I recall hearing something along these lines on the broadcast too, but I have no inside knowledge.blackie said:

My statement was more from a perspective of her not even mentioning it at all versus the types of comments Scott provides. Heck, before last night we didn't even know she was injured and wouldn't play.Bone Squad said:For what it's worth, I recall hearing something along these lines on the broadcast too, but I have no inside knowledge.blackie said:

I chuckled at this because based on Drew's interviews, I never have any clue what sort of time frame any injured player has. It is either a definitive, "yes, he is playing the next game" or "we're just seeing how he is doing and hoping to have him back soon." That sort of comment has meant one missed game, and it has also meant "we won't see him again this season" (I'm thinking of Cryer's foot injury in particular).
I think the player has a say in what is released about their injury.blackie said:Of course, no one gives sources, but on the DLB thread it supposedly was heard that the players hoped she would be back by the tournament (didn't specify which one). That's a fair point. I imagine the short-term advantage can turn into a long-term advantage because it doesn't make pro scouts lose interest in you. Even if you will eventually have to reveal the details of your medical history, if the scouts have continued to keep their eyes on you and see how you've overcome what they might would have deemed, um, "unovercomeable" before, that might bode better for you.Bone Squad said:
Hmmm. There's a certain logic to that, but I wonder how applicable it is in practice. I don't know, but would assume that WNBA and other professional teams require some kind of medical history for players. We know that the NBA does their own independent medical testing (remember how Isaiah Austin's condition was discovered). So it seems to me that any goal of keeping negative information from the pros is a fairly short term prospect.
