I saw that too. And it didn't look like she was in a sling. I think Nicki shared the story on Instagram as well. It made me hopeful!

The thing that's so bizarre to me is that, in the collision, she took an extremely hard hit to her left shoulder. I would have figured that was where the injury occurred.

But when they showed her on the bench at the end of the game, she had a sling holding up her Right arm, and ice on the Right shoulder.

Go figure...

Based on the box score, Chuck Gonzales was an official from that game. He still does a lot of games.

If you look at the video she was grimacing immediately after the impact, well before going to the floor. And it doesn't appear she ever had any direct contact with her shoulder to the floor, as she braced herself with her hands as she was going down...

The non call on Carrington was one of the worst non calls I've ever seen. Two girls jump into her as she goes straight up to shoot. Knock her completely back on her butt. The only question was which one do you call the foul on because both of them fouled her.

The next day on ESPN Stephen A went off about it. He was asked if Baylor was robbed. And he said, "Was Baylor robbed?" What?? "Was Baylor robbed?" Hell yeah they were robbed!!!!! That was egregious!!!

That was the instant she was injured - Most of her falling weight is on her outstretched hand/arm/shoulder as she contacts the floor.
Thanks for posting the video - Seeing that video I am optimistic that the injury is not a severe as I originally feared.
I did a similar fall several months ago where my right hand/arm and shoulder absorbed most of my falling weight Hurt like the dickens for 5 - 6 minutes or so. It took 4-5 days to get apx. 75.0 - 80.0% % of my full motion back. The last 15.0% took a whole lot longer but then I am not 20 something anymore.

We asked for CNC to whisper Bella's status. Her IG story might have been it. Carrying a book bag on the shoulder that was iced could be a good sign. I'm thankful it wasn't on her shooting shoulder. We'll know in a couple of days - really wish we had an update on Buggs as to what injury she is working through.

I had that EXACT same flashback. Tasha Butts (RIP) was the Tennessee player, .2 seconds on the clock. Should been a no call....and even Pat Summitt said so--without actually saying so.

Even Rebecca Lobo of all people was in Baylor's corner on that one.

Classic mechanism/fall anatomy for a right shoulder A-C joint separation/possible glenohumeral subluxation

As with most sprain type injuries, could be out for a handful of days, or weeks depending on the severity.

Bella is such a fine lady and representative of Baylor. Have always thought that she is the most articulate and smartest athelete at Baylor. Wishing her the best

AC Joint sprain was my first thought watching it live. We see a lot of those up here with members of the club hockey teams. If that is indeed her injury (speculation) the recovery time varies widely. As mentioned with DLB I wouldn't play her unless she's 100% the risk again outweighs the short term potential reward

Yep - that was terrible. While I agree you don't end a game with a ticky tack call, you also don't swallow your whistle on an obvious foul just because it's the end of the game. We could've had both our men and our women in the FF that season.
