I believe I heard on the ISU-KSU broadcast today that with the ISU win, ISU would get the 7th seed. So, if there are no upsets our first two games (assuming we win the first) in the tournament would be ISU and then OSU. Please speak up if you see something different....and hopefully get one more shot at TCU.

Iowa State is playing much better lately. And KC is their sandbox

They played better today because KSU couldn't hit squat and left ISU shooters open, not to mention many unforced turnovers by KSU. Defense was nothing close to what we play. And the only game ISU has lost recently was against us. Our girls play pretty well on the road.

Your comments almost makes it sound like I made a prediction that ISU would win in KC, I just stated some facts.

Sounds like you're not wanting to give ISU credit for yesterday. Maybe wanting to play the "KSU only lost because they didn't play well" card. The reality is KSU isn't any good. Nor is ISU the league is full of cupcakes and teams have figured KSU out. They're a pretender.

You are reading more into my comments than is there. I was responding to the poster that implied that somehow ISU is much better than when we played them. I don't believe they are and it sounds like you don't either. I guess I should have said that it looked like they played better. KSU made them look better because of the way they played. I would agree with your basic assessment of both of them.

Don't forget ISU is a different team in Ames. Much tougher to beat them in Hilton. Said poster is correct that they're tough in KC. It'll be a home game for them. Baylor will win as ISU isn't any good. But I'm not sure it'll be a cakewalk.

Maybe I should have been more precise and said ISU has won 6 of their last 7 games. And KC is like Hilton away from home for them. Sometimes 60% or more of the crowd is Cyclones. ISU did not have a good game here (I realize BU's performance had a lot to do with that). If they play better in KC like they did yesterday against KSU & BU plays a little worse like they did yesterday against TCU it could be an upset. Am I predicting that, Heck no. But I saw lots of predictions that BU would win yesterday. Even ESPN had them as a favorite. BU is banged up right now. I don't think Bella was even close to 100%. And who would have thought Sarah would be a no show in her last game with this much on the line. IT's sports. Actually the outcome of the game did not surprise me. Neither did the one at Ft Worth. The two games that surprised me this year was the OSU & the WV game. I thought WV would do much better and I sure didn't think OSU would dominate like they did. IT's SPORTS.

I'll always believe that the OSU game was affected by players being distracted by that coach's wedding the night before. plus being on New Year's Day. I am sure also that OSU's preseason ranking probably caused the team to not expect what they saw. It shouldn't have, but regardless of what the coaches pound into their heads, they see the predictions. It is human nature.

But if we make it past our first conference tournament game, we'll get our chance to not make that mistake again.

I agree that Kansas City is a home away from home for ISU.Despite that,I like the bracket. The teams with 6'7" centers will play each other before one of them plays us in the finals(I hope).Beating 2 teams with a really tall center would be a big ask for our somewhat vertically challenged team.Moving on,I still think with a healthy Buggs we are a second weekend NCAA tournament team.We have 7 experienced high major players. And, Jennings and Abraham have improved.
