Texas State defensive tackle Kamren Washington has committed to Baylor. He becomes the fourth commit during the 2026 transfer portal cycle and the third defensive commit, joining Oklahoma cornerback Devon Jordan and New Mexico State cornerback Stilton McKelvey.
The 6-foot-2, 293-pound prospect totaled 15 tackles, one sack and 14 quarterback hurries this past season. This fall, Washington posted a defensive grade of 71.9, a run defense grade of 67.7 and a pass rush grade of 73.3, according to Pro Football Focus.
He has played 736 snaps in his career primarily as an interior defensive tackle. Before being with the Bobcats, Washington spent the 2021 season at Sam Houston, earning WAC Freshman of the Year, and the 2022 season at Memphis, but didn’t play in a single game, before transferring to Texas State ahead of the 2023 season.
The Mansfield, Texas, native has one season of eligibility remaining.
