2025-2026 is now not that far away. Collen has Littlepage-Buggs, Fauntleroy, Abraham, Van Guitenbeek Jennings, Nelms, and two incoming freshman guards. Bringing in a tall post and a couple of Felder/Matharu types who ran, defend and shoot threes would be ideal, preferably with two years left. Has anyone heard any transfer portal speculation for the Bears?

Who is the second freshman coming in besides Marcayla?

Maybe OP is referring to Goryana, the freshman that sat out this year

Have heard chatter from LSU friends that Aalyah Del Rosario, 6'6" center, is unhappy since Wolfenbarger came in from Arkansas and took a lot of her minutes. Think she'll be a junior next year. She'll be looking for a team that needs a big if she decides to leave.

Well Missouri will get a new head coach next season for sure. There are 2 notable players that could enter the transfer portal that are double digit scorers at guard. Those two would be Grace Slaughter (6 ft 1 inch) and Ashton Judd (6 ft 2 inch). I know Abbey Schreacke isn't a double digit scorers but can shoot as a 6 ft guard. Ashton is a junior this year while other two are sophomores.

Granted we will see what other openings in the power conferences occur and what transpires in the transfer portal. If the Penn State job becomes open they do have a post who has done good against bigger competition some in Gracie Merkle at 6 ft 6 inches tall. Of course baylor could go find a gem from the mid major level like Yaya Felder or Madison Bartley which I know it didn't work out for Madison due to injury issues.

She doesn't fit CNCs system at all. She also appears to be incredibly lazy when she's on the court. Would guess whether she's unhappy or not she'll be encouraged to move on

Likely she'll get the "talk".

Just a guess. Have only watched a handful of LSU games. Maybe the opponent was why she looked bad. But I just don't see her fitting in scheme wise.

She looked very promising as a freshman. Thumbs down this year.

Sometimes a new system or a new coach can revitalize a player. Fritz has done well with Tech. Staff will have to be smart and fill gaps, but think it will be a fun offseason.

She looks out of shape this year. Wolfenbarger much quicker.

Wolfenbarger if I recall was a tall guard at Arky. First year making the transition to the post i believe.
There's a big at Wisconsin her name is slipping me. But if/when their coach is fired Baylor should go after her. She's much better than Del Rosario. Think she averages north of 15 a game this year.

Serah Williams is the player from Wisconsin at 6 ft 4 inches tall at forward that could enter transfer portal if head coach is fired. She averaged 19.2 PPG and 9.8 rebounds per game. She does average 1.1 steals per game and 2.3 blocks per game, and she makes 78 percent on free throws on 164 attempts. If she is available I would target her or the Penn State post that I mentioned earlier to get a low post scoring threat with size. It's not that I don't believe in Kyla but she is more of a defensive presence than scorer which isn't a bad thing for a backup post though we will see what happens there.

Those are ridiculous stats. If she does enter CNC needs to be on her quickly. She's going to attract attention from the big programs. Get in Early and see if CNC can establish a relationship with her

She had an injury in the offseason that bled into beginning of season. She played noticably worse b/c of it.

I agree. Kyla has definitely improved and given us some very good defensive minutes. However I do not see any way she will be considered for starting role unless her scoring improves. Kyla can get a lot of minutes next year but we definitely need to get a starting center who can score.

I would like to see kateri poole who transferred over to houston from lsu, who played big minutes on their championship team. She sat out this year due to injury but she got good handles, can get to the bucket, strong, and can shoot.

I'm afraid there is no way that Kateri fits in at Baylor... Skill set, maybe -- attitude, actions, etc.all go against Baylor's typical recruiting. Word has it that the reason she was removed from the LSU team was because she shared a scouting report / game plan with a friend on an opposing team. Hard pass if I was making that decision.

we also will most likely be looking to fill some roles on the coaching staff as well. The departure of Sadie and the recruiting coordinator.

I would expect recruiting coordinator would be a high priority. Can't spread this position around to others…too important. Especially in the current climate. Also to combat the negative recruiting that CNC said was going on.

Not a peep that I know of. She didn't elaborate on the negative recruiting statement.

With the auburn coach being fired today if taliah scott enters the transfer portal, i think we throw everything at her.

Also we were in the top 5 for the 5 star recruit nylah wilson she signed to auburn. And with the departure if she opens up her recruitment i can see us close to getting her.

I have talked to multiple sources inside LSU WBB and they said this is not true (as of right now). These are just rumors only from LSU fans who don't like Rosario. For a player ranked #7 recruit 2 years ago, she has not improved, has not moved up to starter, or 1st player off the bench. She is very slow, poor foot movement, too timid, and fouls a lot. She loves Coach Kim and her teammates. But LSU inside people are saying Coach Kim will be going to the portal this year and getting 2 tall posts who will replace their SEC POY superstar Aneesah Morrow who is #2 in double doubles in NCAA WBB history. Rosario is not that replacement, not that good, not aggressive. She is not starter material for any top 25 team, much less Baylor. We can do better.

i would LOVEEE for Nina Davis to get hired. Imagine her giving the knowledge she has to Buggs and Bella it would be huge for their development!!

Beggars can't be choosers. We'll be entering next year with just 2 players who logged significant minutes (assuming LB and Bella both return).

I know a lot of folks around here won't want to admit it, but we no longer have the cred we had 5-10 years ago, when the top players were lining up to come here.

We're at the point now where if there is someone out there with height/size, you at least consider them. And that includes someone like a Rosario.

Sure, you'd be wise to stay away from any potential drama. But that's different from thumbing your nose up at players because you don't feel they're good enough to even consider.

I don't recall anyone doing flips when Vonleh first decided to come here, but she is now our most reliable player, and we will only go as far as she can take us in the Tourney (I don't even want to think about where we'd be at without her).

Sometimes players get to a new place and they end up being the difference-maker.

Which is why you keep an open mind at this point.

Can't wait for these 3 to play together. Marcayla is a combination of both Bella and Buggs. Watched her lead her team to state earlier this week.

From Collen's comments, Kyla is not destined to ever start at Baylor. She has become a solid role player who plays good defense and rebounds. But in multiple press conferences, Collen has said she cannot play her extended minutes because she has not developed the stamina to stay on the court that long.

Are we positive that Bella and Buggs will stay? I could imagine one of the upper-tier schools foaming at the mouth (and opening their wallets) to get one of them.

In listening to them talk I think that would be highly unlikely unless CNC goes elsewhere, which I also don't see happening. Of course in this day and age anything is possible.

She's not very good though. That's why she never sees the floor at LSU. She's been a liability for them every time I've seen her play. But she is 6'6"….so there is that!
