Vic S. Doing crybaby routine because Dawn S. Mud stomped him and clearly broke the conference tie. Greenville, SC is a great town that has much to do and is close to Smokey Mountains. The stadium is located in one of the most vibrant downtowns in the southeast.

Greenville is 2 hours away from Columbia and the tournament has been there for years, a tradition. Our tournament is played much closer to some big 12 schools and much further from others. Such is life.
Texas thinks they can call the conference shots their first year in! lol. Just the way they bullied the big 12. Not sure SEC will fall for his whining.

Just be a man, own your whipping, learn and move on. Being A sore loser is a sign of the inability to process your own role in your undoing.

Funny, UT joined the southeastern conference and then complained that they had to play in the southeast. Duh!

Conference tournaments go where the most revenue can be generated. That shouldn't be rocket science to Vic. It's why the B12's are in KC. Don't disagree that it generates a very favorable HC to some teams. But that's just how to cookie crumbles sometimes.

For what it's worth - he complained about this when he was at Miss State and other coaches have passively commented on it. As the SEC grows west having it so close to a team that dominates is the equivalent to people complaining that UCONN always had a VERY nearby regional location that often helped propel them to a Final Four without sleeping a night away from their own bed. Many, including myself, have complained that the BIG 12 tournament benefits a few teams. Either the expansive nature of the conference I do feel location needs to be rethought. Hate Texas as you might, he isn't wrong. And Greenville hasn't been an appropriate place for the conference tournament for several years now. When a stadium is 90% one teams fans, it isn't neutral. At the very least it should be rotating to ensure that Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi fans have the opportunity to watch some game in person and that the programs have the opportunity to build on the high level of competition

It is the South EAST conference. Greenville is one of the hottest, most fun cities in the South East that has worked hard to host well. Iowabear spoke truth; you have to follow the money. No way any other team fills an arena like the Gamecocks. Have it in San Antonio, and you'll still have more gamecocks fans than longhorns. The contract with Greenville existed long before Vic ever went to Texas and has just been extended.

It would have been way more impressive if Vic's team showed up to play the game, won, and then complained. He would do well to quit worrying about which fans show up and actually have his team show up to play. They were absent, wasted, unmotivated talent. But Greenville is such a Happening town, bet they had a blast anyway.

Want to back my comments up with facts.
Gamecocks have highest attendance in the nation at over TWELVE THOUSAND fans at the games.
Longhorns, despite school size and big city of Austin less than HALF at their games. Perhaps longhorns have a culture problem that is much bigger than geography. I can't explain why a mega school in a large Metro area can't fill their arena. SC fans could not even fit in the new Texas arena. When one loses that terribly, it is wise to look at home for the issue rather than point your finger at your neighbors. Vic simply was out coached, and his girls were amazingly unprepared. They had to hear the freight train on the tracks before they ever arrived in Greenville. Perhaps if Texas wants to write a check for loss of revenue when they move from Greenville, the matter could be considered. But, until he actually builds a fan base equal to Dawn's, he would to well to let folks enjoy the beautiful foothills of the Mtns in Greenville.

Above are attendance facts. Not speculation.
And yes, we can whine, but Iowa St fans are the best in the big 12. Win or lose, they keep showing up. BTW, despite a crowd that highly favored the Cyclones, we beart them. If coaches start letting fan bases determine
Game results, they have lost the locker room already.

Not Vic's worst loss at Texas. NaLyssa Smith, Didi Richards & Co. smacked down Charli Collier & Co. 60-35 on Valentine's Day 2021 in Waco.

Don't put it past them to try to force it that way. They would buy the whole NCAA championship trophy suite if they were allowed to do it. And our taxpayer dollars in a round-about sort of way would help finance it...........

I can't express how glad I am they are no longer our problem!

I remember how I fumed in my poly-sci class at BU when the prof explained the Preferred University Fund (PUF) in Texas, and how ut and aTm benefited from it.

This makes me laugh. When I saw the score, I said out loud, "I wonder how long before Texas starts complaining that having the tournament in Greenville is unfair to them." Right, wrong, or inevitable, it's just the fact that it's so easily predictable for Texas that is amusing.
