She was waived today. Wish they would have given her a little more time.

That's really too bad because I've seen McCowan play and the Wings need help. McCowan is slow and if things don't go her way she'll shut down. Not sure who they'll find to backup McGowan. Hope Nettie finds a place to play. Wish her the best.

They also took Madison Scott from Ole Miss. I figured would be between her and Vonleh for a spot.

Caitlin Bickle waived by Sun, Queen Egbo waived by Aces. Baylor ranks in the W thinning.

But getting looked at and name mentioned is important right now, with 2 expansion teams next year and possible roster expansion on horizon.

As you know, third rounders and free agents rarely stick.I am disappointed that Egbo,a first round pick, was waived.I hope that expansion does provide roster spots for our Bears(as mentioned above).

I think Queen is in a tough spot because it's year 4. The first 3 years are on rookie contract, which teams rely on to stay under the cap. So there's a higher quality threshold to reach for teams to keep you on the roster.

Things are looking up though for roster-bubble players. Next year there will be WNBA teams in Portland and Toronto as well.

Just noticed that Dallas Wings waived Madison Scott from Ole Miss, and Joyner Holmes, a former hornette, both bigs. Curious who will be backing up Teaira McCowan, their starting big. Also...Sundell from K State waived by Seattle, and Ashley Joens by Atlanta.

Last year and the year before the Wings had Kalani Brown but she's with the Mercury. Should be interesting.

She was the backup for McCowan and did well, so I was surprised when they traded her.

Khadijiah Cave (2017) was waived by the Mystics. She was on a training camp contract. She's been playing in Turkey.

Alexis Prince and Kalani still on roster for Phoenix Mercury. Prince one of my favorites; her nickname among BU teammates was "Granny".

Kalani Brown was my favorite. She helped us win a natty 2019, record of 35-1. Huge 6'7" center. Enjoyed watching her play. Very nice and personable and loves Baylor.

If not for her injuries she could have been all conference or more. I loved her game, great shooter!
