#5 Vandy falls to unranked GA 76-74. Vandy had UT hangover.

#4 Texas lost to #5 Vandy 86-70. Only watched last couple of minutes of the game. I didn't see the post game, but supposedly Vic threw his team under the bus ( no surprise there). Comments like "team has no heart" and "weakest team I've ever coached". Rory sat again later in game. He can't stand that juggernaut ut lost to a private school that was league doormat for decades. He's definitely feeling the heat. All that aside, still think hornettes will be at least EE in tourney.
Yes, he repeatedly said they had "no heart" and called them the "softest team he's had in years" amongst a number of other things.

South Carolina downed LSU last night in Baton Rouge, 79-72.
Pretty intense game from start to finish, and LSU had their chances.
Unfortunately for them, FT's were their demise, as they went 14-23 (61%) from the stripe.
This included 2 consecutive misses by Flau'jae Johnson with less than a minute left, when they were down by 1.
It also doesn't help when you go 2-12 from behind the arc.
Just seems like South Carolina has LSU's number - they've won 18 straight in the series (with Dawn going 6-0 against Kim since she arrived in Baton Rouge).

Maybe my memory is bad, but I think we had FT problems when Kim was here. Historically I don't think either our men or women have been very good at it. Nice to see that this year's women's team seems to be better of late. Bella has really improved and even Buggs has been better lately Of course Scott can improve anyone's team FT percentage.

I started watching the Lady Bears in 2000, and I don't remember having been better than dead center of the conference in free throw shooting during that time.
I remember Mulkey once talking about how it didn't seem to matter what her approach was. Don't practice them much - low percentage for obvious reasons. Practice them more - the players psyche themselves out and shoot worse than they are capable of.

The 2019 NC win would have been a runaway if Kalani had made her free throws; an outstanding player in every other way.

Yup.. Ifs are a huge part of the game. Hell you could argue Bu has 2 more woman's titles if not for the injuries to Wallace and DIDi.

First of all, good to see you again, Bone Squad.

If we win our last 3 games we probably still win the conference (as a co-champion).
The likelihood of this is low though. Our chances of winning in Fort Worth I'd put at about 25%. Kansas State is probably playing better than us at the moment. Glad that game is at home.
I don't know exactly how 3-way ties work but think tiebreakers have to be decisive. Texas Tech has a decisive tiebreaker over us, but TCU would be in any tie too (unless they lose to ISU), so then it wouldn't matter. I think Texas Tech will drop one of their last 3 games anyway (@Colorado, @Kansas, ASU). West Virginia doesn't have a decisive tiebreaker over us either. Seems like they'll win out (Oklahoma State, @UCF, Cincinnati).

We are 0-4 against the other 3 teams at the top. We will finish last in any tiebreaker scenario.

It's not about finishing last, one of the tied teams has to rise above the others, or else all tied teams are crowned.

First tiebreaker is head to head.
Assuming BU beats TCU and all 4 finish 14-4:
Tech would be 4-0 against TCU/BU/WV
TCU would be 3-2 against Tech/BU/WV
WV would be 1-3 against Tech/BU/TCU
BU would be 1-4 against Tech/TCU/WV
