Just a hunch...Since she is from Florida she will vet her act together at Florida St aka TransferU in WBB or even Miami.
It was very missable when first watching the game but now that I was looking for it, it was obviously intentional. She stuck her leg out right at Kalani and held it there.fujobear said:
found it... you can watch a restream of the game on the big 12 website... i don't see that as very intentional... almost missable... and who saw her eyes?

Let's stay positive on this topic. Mulkey works wonders with transfers who need a reset and some discipline. Come on over to the winning squad and play ur last three!

Word in Longhorn land is that she's headed to Miami. Guess she'll join Beatrice after sitting out a year.
I said that I saw her eyes, and I probably should have said that you could see from her head she was looking down at what she was doing at the time. I think the video clearly shows it to be intentional. And, if you watch the two or three minutes before, Boothe had a disastrous four trips down the court preceding: she got called for a travel; she got a foul for knocking Cox across the lane, Brown drove past her from the free throw line and made a lay up; and Brown schooled her for a lay up on a great pass from Landrum. Following that lay up, she looked down at Brown starting to run back down court and stuck her foot out. If the ref saw it, he should have thrown her out. And, you can sort of tell that Aston saw it too.fujobear said:

That's my read on it.
I know this is a fan forum, and all, but this is a bit over-the-top.Florda_mike said:

Booth should be suspended from Women's BB before she permanently hurts someone
She's an angry little girl and where she goes pain follows.

Texas forward Rellah Boothe will be unavailable for postseason competition due to personal reasons, head coach Karen Aston announced Thursday.
This marks the second time she has been suspended from the team. She missed seven Big 12 games between Jan. 10 and Feb. 3 with similar issues.
Wait...she hurt someone? Are you mixing up Hosey and Boothe? Boothe stuck her foot out at KB, while Hosey knocked KB down on the breakaway layup, after she had bulldozed Natalie Chou in Waco.Florda_mike said:CavalryRoadie said:I know this is a fan forum, and all, but this is a bit over-the-top.Florda_mike said:

I wonder, if Brown was out for season, thereby ending Baylor NC chances this season, you'd have made above statement
Many have said same, or worse, of Booth
Her play, is "over the top" and Brown isn't the first she's hurt at all
She minimally needs some sort of discipline

UT does have a lot of depth, thus they will be fine without her. If she does transfer, she could end up an All American before her college career ends. She has a great shooting touch, can put the ball on the floor and drive well and with her size can be a tremendous matchup problem. The odds of that are very slim. Her downward arch did not begin in college, but started already in her soph year in high school. She just has too many negative attitude issues that have not gotten better with time. She had a huge upside that was obvious very early on in high school, but that that attitude was already impacting her development in her JR year. When she was a soph and still trying out for the under 16's they moved her up to the under 18 squad in USA basketball. Then they cut their ties with her completely the next year. If there has not been a turn around in 3 years I doubt one will ever happen. Too many people only remember her as the high school kid with a huge potential. Her attitude not only has kept her stagnant at that level but also is now responsible for a major regression. Talent will only take you so far. Effort has to kick in sometime or your days will be limited.
