Just a hunch...Since she is from Florida she will vet her act together at Florida St aka TransferU in WBB or even Miami.

Boothe seems to just walk around shedding clues that she has some sort of attitude problem and does not make for much of a team player. Maybe Aston will show her some loyalty for being on the team, but more and more it just looks like UT has more than enough talent to cut ties with someone that is unwilling or unable to fully buy in to the program, to coaching, to conditioning, and to the all the other things that make a successful team rather than a "me first" mentality. For the same reasons, I would not expect Mulkey to take a chance on her without evidence of a 180 degree shift in direction.

I am reminded of Mulkey's description of meeting Bernice Mosby after she was dismissed from Florida. Mulkey was initially not interested, but after talking with her, Bernice convinced her that she had learned her lesson and had a change of heart. "I was a prima donna. I thought I was bigger than the program. I was wrong. I am the one responsible. I can't undo what I did, but all I'm asking for is a second chance...I need this in my life."

I think if Boothe wants to be successful anywhere, she needs to take a page out of Bernice's book.

Aston has had her hands full with her two main inside players. That has to add to her angst. Rella needs to take stock of the incoming class along with her position on the poop list. What was the old song, ..."it was an attitude adjustment.."

since she was so unproductive, a poor attitude would have hindered the team.... keep getting pieces and tidbits from our team that lost to Louisville that there were personality issues...

so good for Karen

she has that frontline covered next year.

It is actually good to see someone with such an arrogant, self-centered attitude getting some come-uppance. Good for Aston in dealing.

I have watched it about 4 times and I for sure think that it was intentional. If you watch carefully you can see that kalani already scored. The ball was all ready out of bounds no where near rellah and she sticks her foot out and tries to trip kalani and you know she did because she was looking at her . Kalani turns around and says something to her. When they replay it in slow motion you can see her clearly stick her foot out. I hate dirty players no matter what team.

found it... you can watch a restream of the game on the big 12 website... i don't see that as very intentional... almost missable... and who saw her eyes?
It was very missable when first watching the game but now that I was looking for it, it was obviously intentional. She stuck her leg out right at Kalani and held it there.

Boothe had loads of...potential. Plus she was a load. She had a tremendous amount of talent for her size. But it doesn't seem that she was very coachable, and that included not getting into shape. I suspect that we will not see her in a Baylor vs UT game again.

Word in Longhorn land is that she's headed to Miami. Guess she'll join Beatrice after sitting out a year.

Let's stay positive on this topic. Mulkey works wonders with transfers who need a reset and some discipline. Come on over to the winning squad and play ur last three!

Don't you sit out 2 seasons transferring in conference?

I said that I saw her eyes, and I probably should have said that you could see from her head she was looking down at what she was doing at the time. I think the video clearly shows it to be intentional. And, if you watch the two or three minutes before, Boothe had a disastrous four trips down the court preceding: she got called for a travel; she got a foul for knocking Cox across the lane, Brown drove past her from the free throw line and made a lay up; and Brown schooled her for a lay up on a great pass from Landrum. Following that lay up, she looked down at Brown starting to run back down court and stuck her foot out. If the ref saw it, he should have thrown her out. And, you can sort of tell that Aston saw it too.

That's my read on it.

^^^ Said it before and I'll say it again

Booth should be suspended from Women's BB before she permanently hurts someone

She's an angry little girl and where she goes pain follows.

UT does have a lot of depth, thus they will be fine without her. If she does transfer, she could end up an All American before her college career ends. She has a great shooting touch, can put the ball on the floor and drive well and with her size can be a tremendous matchup problem.

I wonder, if Brown was out for season, thereby ending Baylor NC chances this season, you'd have made above statement

Many have said same, or worse, of Booth

Her play, is "over the top" and Brown isn't the first she's hurt at all

She minimally needs some sort of discipline

Texas forward Rellah Boothe will be unavailable for postseason competition due to personal reasons, head coach Karen Aston announced Thursday.

This marks the second time she has been suspended from the team. She missed seven Big 12 games between Jan. 10 and Feb. 3 with similar issues.
So did she take time off for personal reasons or was she suspended?

Getting suspended is pretty personal.

Wait...she hurt someone? Are you mixing up Hosey and Boothe? Boothe stuck her foot out at KB, while Hosey knocked KB down on the breakaway layup, after she had bulldozed Natalie Chou in Waco.

Or, did I miss something?

Regardless, the suspension(s) of Boothe is discipline.

Hosey got an "atta girl" from Aston because she took down Kalani and caused pain. Boothe gets suspended because she missed.

She has a great shooting touch, can put the ball on the floor and drive well and with her size can be a tremendous matchup problem. The odds of that are very slim. Her downward arch did not begin in college, but started already in her soph year in high school. She just has too many negative attitude issues that have not gotten better with time. She had a huge upside that was obvious very early on in high school, but that that attitude was already impacting her development in her JR year. When she was a soph and still trying out for the under 16's they moved her up to the under 18 squad in USA basketball. Then they cut their ties with her completely the next year. If there has not been a turn around in 3 years I doubt one will ever happen. Too many people only remember her as the high school kid with a huge potential. Her attitude not only has kept her stagnant at that level but also is now responsible for a major regression. Talent will only take you so far. Effort has to kick in sometime or your days will be limited.
