This game reminded me so much of the game vs Oregon in 2019 in the FF. Survive and advance.

Out of timeouts. And they have a school history of calling timeouts when they have none.

Regardless of Deb Antonella says - she was out of it a lot today - Michigan did not have timeout, which is why the didn't call it. The ref also never motioned to the bench and then going to the monitor allowed the team to have a time out to draw up a play. Thankful for the "W" and hoping this is Queen's off game for the tourney and we're back on cue come Monday.

Quasi-criminal that she only got 11 shots

This was a strange game for sure. Half the game we looked like the best team in the nation. The other half we looked like the worst. As one poster has already noted if this same team shows up against UConn get your car keys out.

We got our off game out of the way we good. You all have to realize UCONN looked good against probably the worst defensive team in the tournament. It does not matter what we do offensively as we will play defense. Interesting that UCONN Copied out two big high low offense!

If BU and UConn both play on Monday the way they did today, we lose by 25.

Think our defense will be the key Monday. mulkey will have something ready for Paige.

Seems like there were some comments here that Carrington had a terrible game. I was a bit surprised at the box score showing 19 points and 7 boards.

Her 1-5 on treys was poor, but the one she hit was huge. Her four turnovers weren't good, but she leads the team in most turnovers per 40 minutes played. She came up with four big steals.

I expect us to play better. Don't think that it can be that bad again.

Carrington was key during crunch time.As has been pointed out her steal late in regulation which she turned into an old school 3 points saved our posterior.During OT she hit her one long distance three to take the lead and had a steal that she scored on.Smith was fabulous all day and Moon was terrific after halftime.On Monday we can't afford off nights.

I hope the Lady Bears play better on Monday.

I'm praying today's performance wasn't a periodic problem if ya know what I mean

Hope that's ok to say ladies as I coached HS girls cross country and Track 10+ years and as a man I learned to just pray it didn't happen at state meet time

Again ladies I apologize if needed to any of ya on that but women looked gassed from tip today

The fact that Baylor shot so poorly and still won this game just shows how good the TEAM can be together. It's been said that even when two or three players are off, Kim's teams can't win. This is not true. And the Lady Bears still won. Teams win while individual stats don't...

WHEW! I was surprised the Baylor Lady Bears needed OT to defeat and finally eliminate the Michigan Wolverines today in the Sweet Sixteen. I was absolutely shocked at the number of 3-point baskets Michigan made during the 2nd Half. Thank goodness Nalyssa Smith was 11-of-11 shooting. Great scoring by Moon Ursin in the 3rd Quarter. When the Lady Bears needed defensive stops in the latter stage of OT, they got them. Survive and Advance for Kim Mulkey and the Baylor Lady Bears today in reaching the Elite Eight. .

We did shoot 50% for the game so..,,

From reading WBB threads all season, the Lady Bears have already exceeded many, if not most, fan expectations, especially after the loss to Arkansas. Some of the gloom and doomers were saying they wouldn't make it past the round of 32, if that. Of course UCONN is playing well but as we saw today, any great team can have an off night. Why can't UCONN have one against the LBs, like they have in recent memory? While I think defense is the key, Moon and Egbo are poised to go off against them scoring-wise and I believe they will. Carrington and Bickle just might drop a load of threes. It is possible that the LBs will have an even worse night against better competition but I choose to believe otherwise.
