Was Jessica Stratton out of bounds?

when she first caught the Ball her foot was on the line then she quickly drew it back, most replays never showed the initial foot on line she did it so quickly. the ref is looking right down the line at the play. easy call

I'd rather they got that call right than DiDi's double dribble that they missed. Every ref had to be looking at their shoes at that moment to miss that call...we scored on that possession. Maybe she didn't actually touch the ball with the other hand...I'll go with that.

Did Carrington even need to try to retrieve the ball, versus just letting it go out of bounds. I thought it just bounded off the rim, but perhaps she touched it before it got to the sideline?

And concerning calls. There are plenty that are missed. It's part of the game. There were probably plenty missed earlier that could just as well made the last 2 minutes meaningless.

I remember: when that play happened I was concerned that Carrington was very close to the line. I don't think the cameras ever gave us a clear view so we have no choice but to accept the call.

.

Brown for Michigan, with under 2 min in the game, had an obvious push off in the lane before sinking a tying 2. For every call missed, there is another. Refs are human, they won't see everything. You just want to make sure they are calling an even game and missing the same from both sides. Overall I felt they had a good game, especially considering the issue with WBB officiating.

Ugh, I remember that game very well.
Can't it just be game time already?

I wondered if Carrington even needed to touch it, too. The thing that I can't get out of my mind is that if we make just one of the however many point blank layups we missed, it never goes to OT.

Didi clearly double dribbled, Carrington should have let the ball go out of bounds, and the Michigan post player used her forearm, not to hold Egbo off of her, but to push her on the over-the-top feed. It was at a critical time in the game and the official may not have been in a position to see it, but that is a common tendency in the deep paint and needs to be carefully monitored, as it negates the defender fronting the post player. The Michigan post really sealed off effectively and her teammates were very adept with their entry passes, but that play was not on Egbo but on the official who failed to call it.
