Well, WNBA, 2018 COY, somewhat successful in college ranks. I guess I can see the upside of style of play being enticing (WNBA) to the kids and hopefully, recruits.
Recruiting... I'm a little nervous. Will it be Wednesday, at the earliest, of finding out if Messer and Brock are retained? I guess we still don't really know of positive aspect until before Conference play in Jan, 2022.

Meh. I wanted Molly Miller. She had a proven record in college (albeit at a lower level). I think we settled a little on this one and got lured in by the WNBA title.

Her resume does seem to be inferior to every other candidate mentioned previously. Hopefully she can prove us doubters wrong. The body of work suggests it doesn't look promising.
Well I think it's a really good hire, and only time will prove one way or the other.
She was not my first pick, but she parallels it.
To me, having the WNBA experience will go along way in recruiting VERY talented lady bb players, and that's important.
It remains to be seen how she will fill out her staff, but I am hoping she will add Nina Davis as part of it. And her husband who is a very good coach in his on right.

Don't know if this is true, but early on, rumors were that Messer would go to LSU with Kim if she didn't get the HC. Hate that if it is true.allstate2000 said:

Given how it went. If we were going to completely gamble anyway, we should have promoted Messer as that would have been a safer gamble.

She was a noted prospect for the job and got passed over. Pretty humiliating to stay now, don't you think? She'll be fine. There's a Lear45 just waiting to come get her. We'll see what she does.
