Really great interview! Sounds like what she is looking for in a style of play should fit perfectly with our new coach. And she still appears to have special feelings for Baylor. The key will be if Coach Collen can continue to put a championship team on the floor, and recruit additional top players for Sammie to play with.

She's been to Baylor her whole life since her dad used to play for baylor football!
Very true. However, It isn't about visiting Baylor…IMO. It's about giving CNC and staff a opportunity to sell their vision to her. To have face to face conversations. Give this staff the same opportunity to recruit her as she is giving to other programs. After all, she described Baylor as her "dream school".

It would be crazy not to expect this and similar recruiting setbacks when we lost our former head coach. This has nothing to do with our new coach---

This for sure shows that NC didnt make an huge impression on her. This is not a shot at NC, but Wagner clearly didn't see herself playing for her.

As I said before, winning this year and advancing further than Mulkey did last year is going to be a BIG DEAL.

If we somehow get knocked out early tournament or somehow not even make the tournament with the roster we have, NC is going to have a hard time getting players on board.

Although, with the transfer portal now being the new wave of recruiting, she has a chance to make her presence known there.

Folks not understand that a certain former Baylor employee is poisoning the recruiting well for Baylor with every single recruit?

CNC [and staff] is trying to catch up on years of relationships in a few months while also putting out the fires started by She Captain Molotov Cocktail Thrower.

Did any reasonable person expect the situation to be any different?

Disagree with you one hundred percent. NC is irrelevant to SW's decision. There are a lot of Baylor fans and recruits who have a huge loyalty to the former coach and those are going to believe that Baylor didn't treat her right. Recruits loyal to our former coach wouldn't come to BU regardless of who we brought in. This is the predictable carnage from our former coach's departure and the way it developed.

I am assuming you are talking about our former coach, but any former coach is going to do what she/he can to get her recruits to come to her school. Again, this is the expected carnage from our former coach's departure. If you are talking about some other former employee, I don't have the tin can to know who you are referencing.

False. Folks said over and over, "Sammie loves BU, BU will still be in it", now she drops her Top 8 and we're not in it. This obviously proves that the coaching staff couldn't win her over to at least make a "Top 8"

I am assuming you are talking about our former coach, but any former coach is going to do what she/he can to get her recruits to come to her school. Maybe so. However, there is a right way, and a wrong way, to get recruits to come to one's school,,,or influence what school a recruit goes to, or not.

Yea folks said....big deal Lucille. Listen to what Sammy just said........A big No to BU---NC irrelevant. Most of these players were recruits of KM not BU. A lot of the top players we have had initially came because of KM.

So what. Everyone is not meant to land at Baylor. Everyone loses a recruiting battle sometimes. She only talked with Collen for a little bit. Stop with the negativity. She doesn't want to go to baylor o well, on to the next.

Look, get out of your feelings, nobody is being negative. I personally knew she wasn't coming here, but to not make the Top 8 is saying something.

I know for a fact there's plenty of fish out there, but it's going to take NC to win, to reel them in.

I knew she wasn't coming either. It is rare that a someone who decommits from a school commits back. So the whole " it says something " actually says nothing. Im not sensitive about anything, I'm just sick of everyone blaming Collen for everything when she hasnt even got a chance to set her feet.

I said what I said lol. I quite frankly don't care if you hate something I say.

It SAYS SOMETHING like I said before. When did i ever blame the woman? You're getting too deep in your feelings over nothing lol.

I've gone on record and stated that I believe she'll be successful here. You're definitely sensitive and reading too deep into what I'm saying lol
