Was looking for a game thread but since there isn't one, I'll make an observation after the first 5 minutes - our passing sucks!!

This is a team UT beat last week by 95. With 3 minutes to go in the 1st, we hit a 3 to increase our lead to 4.

forcing it into the paint we need to just break the zone find the open shooter to space this floor!!!

We're tough to watch. Was hoping at least the defense would be good while our O gelled. Not good D either 2.25 games in.

Jaden came in and we look a lot better on defense, it is all a effort thing. We are picking and choosing when we want to be great.

Players were not previously given that choice - either you played defense or you sat on the bench. Something that should be reinstated if BU wants to maintain their winning tradition.

you do see when Queen makes mistakes she is taken out when guards make mistakes they are taken out, i just don't think we have much of a choice right now.

How are you going to hold them accountable when there is no one to put in. We have no bench.

Sorry to bring up Kim, but I miss her fire. This team is playing for their best friend in Collen. No repercussions for turning the ball over and playing lazy. I'm shocked that we are just standing around on rebounds and firing wildly from the 3 on offense. It is going to be a long season if it doesn't improve.

They can't play with fire cause we can't get into foul trouble. Who is going to replace smith and egbo.

What does playing with fire have to do with committing fouls ?

You can see that CNC is not just happy, she coaches them and is not pleased with this performance. Yelling and screaming isn't always necessary to be a coach . I see her make corrections she can't make them do them perfectly.

As to fouling out. We have a senior team mostly, so it should stand to reason that they should have learned by now how to play smart defense and play hard too, all without fouling out. Defense is all about moving your feet with your butt low, hands in their face and being able to slide fast. Having only 10 players really shouldn't be an issue if you are playing smart defense.

You can always become an LSU fan. I've been told they have fire.

They will have fire with her at the helm. I will never be anything other than a BU fan, but thanks for the suggestion. I just expect a lot from our coaches. You should do the same.

I think everyone needs to chill a bit. We were going to struggle early, no matter who was at the helm. Too many new pieces. I saw Coach Collen pull Queen out after she got a little lazy on defense and her girl scored. In her post game interviews, CNC makes clear she sees the same issues that many of us see. She's not proclaiming this team is already great, but rather they have a lot of work to do. Block out the noise; look for improvement; let this team have some time to develop and get game experience together. Then, come conference time, we can all reevaluate together. Don't get too caught up in losses. Watch the process and let the product develop.

Actually, you may or may not be right. No one will know until the season progresses to that point of the year. The talent is there for the girls to advance deep, if they stay healthy. Yes, they have to learn her system and what she wants, but I believe that is all doable within a year, especially when you have the experience this team has and with their BB IQ's. Just Queen and Nalyssa are handfuls for any team, including your UConns, Stanfords and S. Carolinas. Sarah must grow if she is going to be the starting PG and the others will have to learn to play together with them. I am not worried about Bickle because I think she is a winner and will do whatever she needs to do to support and blend in with the team. We need a good consistent PG and a strong consistent shooting guard or guards to maximize the potential of this team. Like I said, I am not worried about Queen, Bickle or Nalyssa. When it comes to the nitty gritty, they will step up. It will take the supporting cast to step up if they are to have a deep run.
