Baylor is up to #32 after a strong opening weekend. For reference, the Bears finished 2025 at 52.

It's early, but the MO for this team seems to be beat the teams we should (exception is Tarleton) and play tough teams close but lose (exception Ole Miss) or just let them blow us out (UTSA).

That's not a good recipe for winning the Big 12 (long shot anyway) and probably not even finishing mid pack (this is year three, so we should be able to do this). It's looking like we may be flirting with the cut line for the Big 12 tournament again.

The good news is it is early and this still could go a few different ways. Some good. Some bad.

Bears are #50 after the win over SHSU. WVU is sitting at #23 in the nation as they come to Waco this weekend. Winning 2/3 would be fantastic.

Bears up to #44 after the weekend sweep and #7 in the Big 12. Baylor is also #32 in RPI with the #11 SOS. Trending nicely at the moment with BYU (#79) coming to town for a three-game set.

Baylor still sits at #9 in the Big 12, but up to #44 in NET in the country and #34 in RPI. Currently on the right side of the bubble, but winning the series this weekend against the frogs would certainly help.

Extremely disappointing to see the RPI down to #46 after choking the series away to frog. Also down to #48 in NET. These sins can be erased with a series win at #22 (NET) ASU this weekend.
