Bears have given up 2 hits, 4 walks and 3 runs ... and Tech is still batting in the first inning.

Bears are playing like they have given up on the season.

Terrible start for Caley as TTech bats around & scores 3 in the bottom of the first. I believe his pitch count is already at something like 50. Best case we're going to have to use multiple arms out of the bullpen which is never good in game one of a tournament like this.

Don't blame you.

Already into our pen in the bottom of the second.

The Bears look nothing like they did in Lubbock.

After 2 innings, the I-don't-care Bears have given up 3 hits, 6 walks, and 4 runs, one allowed on a wild pitch.

Bad luck this excrement is on TV, no regional would invite this mess to play in the NCAA Tournament.

Bears better find their ass and get it in gear, or their season is about to end.

Tech continues to score every inning, now up 6-0 in the bottom of the 3rd.

Tech is batting .429 right now plus 6 walks, while Baylor is batting .181 with no walks

The last several years under that coach were very bad losing seasons after he lost his top assistant.

I've noticed this as well. At least part of the answer might be that a lot of the baseball enthusiasts that used to post here are now posting on the pay board, but you'd still think there would be more interest and activity on the free side. Some of it could also be the fact that while he certainly has had some positive moments, to date Rod hasn't been able to get the program at anything approaching a consistent championship contender level.

As far as the woeful attendance at the ball park (pre-COVID and the Sr. Day game when it was back fully opened up) goes, That one is harder to explain because While again not at a consistent championship contender level, the program still hasn't been THAT bad.

Yeah but this game is a really bad look for the committee. After this game we'd need to win our way into the Big XII Finals to be taken seriously

Bears get 3 in the 7th, but are still down 5 runs with Tech coming to bat.

Took way too long to wake up today.

We lost 2 out of 3 to OSU which was OK since we were on the road.

But we then lost 2 out of 3 at home to OU, who is not a regional-caliber team.

Today we **** the sheets against Tech, meaning our RPI will drop even more.

Assuming we beat KSU, we would still need to win another game after that to even be considered for a regional, and frankly we don't come close to passing the eye test.

And to think a couple of weeks ago we were pretty much a lock to get to a regional - Only question was would it be as a two or three seed. Now, at best our backs are solidly against the wall needing to win at least a couple out of the losers' bracket to even be somewhat back in the running and even then it still might not be enough.

Keep in mind that the sites showing projections are snapshots which do not take future events into account.
