Lightfoot, Three Former Bears Set For USATF Championships
WACO, Texas - Four current/former Baylor student-athletes will be competing at the 2019 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships Thursday through Sunday (July 25-28) at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.
KC Lightfoot, who is entering his sophomore season at Baylor, will be jumping in the pole vault while former Bears Wil London (400 meters), Lauren (Hagans) Paquette (5,000 meters) and Annie Rhodes-Johnigan (pole vault) will be in competition as well.
London will kick things off Friday with the first round of the men’s 400 meters at 7:37 p.m. CT. The semifinals of the 400 meters are set to take place Friday at 7:14 p.m. CT, while the Toyota 400-meter finals will be Saturday at 4:43 p.m. CT.
Lightfoot will be in action Saturday as the men’s pole vault is set to take place at 2 p.m. CT.
Paquette and Rhodes-Johnigan will close the show on Sunday as the women’s Chocolate Milk 5,000 meters will run at 6:42 p.m. CT and the women’s pole vault will take the stage at 5:10 p.m. CT.
