I was that guy in high school in the early 2000s saying "who cares if two gay guys get married, how does it affect you?"

Its the last decade that has really turned me against the LGBTQ+ movement. It's a radical movement that is very interested in children, very interested in persecuting other citizens who hold traditional beliefs around sexuality, and very interested in mainstreaming all types of sexual perversion in the name of "fighting bigotry" & "smashing Heteronormativity".

I went from basically libertarian views on the matter to firmly against this movement.

I've interacted with many people who will take the statement of "some people of this type do x thing" and turned it around to say "omg you think everyone of this type does x." Built a house for a gay couple. Years later they contacted me demanding to know my position on a new Colorado proposal to make gay's a 'protected class ' with 'special rights'.

I told them I believe in equal rights....no better or worse than anyone else's .

They then said if I didn't vote for the proposal they would never buy another house of mine nor would any of their associates.

Told them to ..........pound sand .

The proposal was voted down.

Suspect it would pass today though as our Governor is gay and very left of center.

I'm not sure how hard this is for you, but I will dumb it down. I've interacted with many people who will take the statement of "some people of this type do x thing" and turned it around to say "omg you think everyone of this type does x." Do you understand how those are in fact not the same, or even similar, but so separate they cannot both be true? This is the sort of intellectual dishonesty I expect from rabid zealots on this forum.
