Jen Griffin is usually pretty credible, while "The Post Millenial" has a tweet advertising MyPillows a couple posts down from the helicopter one...
So, if Mr. Pillow ran an advertisement on Ms. Griffin's page, then she loses credibility in your eyes? Makes a lot of sense, bro.
Which of the two reports do you believe is more likely true?
Given the way the federal government lies? That has nothing to do with a pillow advertisment.
The question was pretty clear. Why do you not answer?
Maybe it was a toughee for you. I don't trust the original source which is the State Department.
I don't want to put words in your mouth. Which report do you think is more likely true?
a. The United States Embassy in Baghdad was evacuated today, or
b. The United States Embassy in Baghdad was not evacuated today.
I don't know. But I do know that the accuracy or lack thereof has nothing to do with the placement of a pillow advertisment.
You have to be really incompetent to not know which is more likely to be true.
The helicopter appears to have landed NEAR the Embassy but not IN the Embassy.
The Embassy had already (late last year) issued an order for departure of dependents and non-essentials, and closed the Consulate. That does not exactly leave a "skeleton crew. That requires a second ordered departure of non-essentials, which I cannot find evidence has happened.
It is normal in political unrest to have Embassy employees stay home. Not that the homes are more secure than embassy but rather the transiting of the city poses undue risk of getting caught up in a fauda. That said, given that this is Baghdad we're talking about, would suspect a high percentage of US personnel live in the Green Zone (where this helo landed) for obvious reasons.
Find the flattops and you'll get an idea of how situation is being assessed in WDC. The Navy will probably have the evac mission here.
