Its nothing new. Remember the goats head soup album poster from the Stones? Remember the panic about backward masking on Led Zepplin albuims? remember all the hidden imagery in commercials?

I know you didnt read the article but Satanic Panic comes and goes. Theres a lot of the gay rainbow merchandise and goat horns and etc. in a lot of stores. Its not new. Muslim countries dont allow it. They throw queers of buildings. So far America has been more tolerant. If you dont want to buy the merchandise dont. If want to personally boycot Target do it. I have for 20 years because they sell Walmart crap at a higher price.

I think its hilarious the way you react to anyone with a different opinion than yours.

Satanic Panic? LMAO. It's interesting how you describe this thread. Do you think the posters on this thread are "panicked"? Do you think we all believe Target's actions are going to usher in the anti-Christ? You are a hoot, redneck! As a guy who gets his panties in a wad by anything Trump says or does, the "panic" accusations are both hilarious and ironic, coming from our resident Trump Drama Queen.

I can assure you I am not panicked, dumb redneck. While I can't speak for others, I suspect nobody on this thread is panicked either. Pointing out a company's use of Satanism and Satanic symbols in propaganda aimed at children is inappropriate is what we would call capitalism. It's called the free-market at work.

As a supposed live and let live guy, you sure are easily triggered by free market principles.

I didnt make up the term "Satanic Panic". It comes around pretty often. Shopping at Target doesnt mean you are supporting satan. It probably just means its closer than Walmart.

Heres a good story about satanic panic.
I realize you're a binary thinker who views every new cultural issue as a non-issue because you can bring up some other issue in the past that you likewise didn't worry about. But there is quite a difference between the Proctor & Gamble conspiracy theory (which turns out was just that - nothing more than a conspiracy theory) and a Starbucks barista who put Satanic designs in a latte, and Target actually advertising and selling shirts with Satanic symbols and messages.

I would think even a dumb redneck such as yourself could see the obvious differences.

You really think this is the same as backward masking from the 80s? Really?

This designer specifically states that his "designs" are intended for young children. He goes on and on about it on his website and his social media.

This is NOT the same thing.. this is overt. The stuff you are talking about was interpreted or made up by people who were looking desperately for demonic & satanic stuff in modern music & culture. This is not something that ANYONE is searching for... it is in your face. One of the "designs" literally says "Satan respects pronouns". Now I would have laughed and thought that it was a great way to show how Satanic the whole pronoun/trans nonsense is... but this designer is saying that as a way of promoting the love & caring nature of Satan.

You can bury your head in the sand if you wish... but this is NOT the same thing as you referenced. No one is making up stuff, or creating demonic messaging out of nothing. This is BLATANT satanic imagery and messaging, which is backed up by the individual himself.

It is bad enough that Target is trying to promote homosexuality and trans lifestyles to kids. It is even worse when they use Satanic messaging to do it.

Yet, you are using that term to describe critiques of Target on this thread. Again I ask, do you think those adhering to free market principles in their critiques of Target are "panicked" or not?

There's nothing whatsoever wrong with not supporting company's whose values and policies are not only the antithesis of your values, but also bad for the country. Again, that's called capitalism. It's odd that a purported libertarian takes such issue with that.

Satan themed "pride" children's wear is getting pretty extreme. I support the possibility but it seems like Target espousing it is a rather large statement.

In this case the designer openly communicated the satanic nature of the designs, so you don't have to believe in anything at all to look at the goat and call it a goat.

Of course these other things are pure evil. Satan is a liar and the father of lies. These things are as evil as you get. Nobody ever said they weren't, what a duplicitous stupid straw man, something only a total sheltered dumbass would use as an example.

Back to the sane subject of discussion. People call the dude a satanist because he claims to worship satan and puts images of satan and satan worship in his designs.

Amazing we can talk about this new Target push and it's designer, without bringing up slavery, trafficking and other atrocities. Amazing.

Basically, we can all agree that Satan is behind all these horrible atrocities like slavery, sex trafficking, etc.
But the worship of Satan isn't so bad... what a horrible position to take.

I think ron needs to do a LOT of self-examination. Condemning the works of Satan while you defend a Satan worshipper... that's just a totally jacked-up view.

"For me," the designer wrote on Instagram, "Satan is hope, compassion, equality, and love."
So the guy is a nut, and should have never partnered with Target.

He has the right to sell his stuff, their are complete idiots who want to buy it.

I'm sure this publicity will increase his online sales 10X.

But, Target shouldn't be the venue.

I believe in capitalism and freedom. If Target wants to sell shirts with a pic of a goat's head thats fine. I wont buy it. Let the market decide.

I do object to the statement that if you shop at Target you are supporting Satan. How about "If you buy shirts with pics of goat heads that are supposed to symbolize the devil you are supporting a man that claims to worship Satan?

I dont know or really care much about who designed the jeans I am wearing today. Do you know who designed the suit you wear to church?

Boycotting Targets is not a question for me. I dont go there anyway. If you want to boycott them go ahead. Just dont call people that still shop there satan supporters.

Not necessary. Once one defines it as unworthy of attention, one leaves others do all the work. That way, one doesn't have to get any mud on the shoes or associate with undesirables. Victory? proves that the issue was no big deal. Loss? obviously, our side screwed it up.

same process for presidential elections. Nominee isn't clean enough, so nah....let others fiddle with it. It'll be their fault, win or lose. If you don't touch it, you can sit in judgement and offer critique.

Yet they insist they are going to heaven when they die because they are 'spiritual'; a 'good' person.
