He's not the first and not the last to drink himself out of a career and reputation. People say he was loaded when he came to see Trump on election night 2020. His banter that night helped push Trump over the edge on the steal movement.

Before it is over, this corrupt administration is going after anyone that Donald Trump has ever associated with. I think they charged Trump's maintenance man at Mar A Lago last week. After that, they will come for Trump voters. Get your licks in now. 2024 will be here in a flash. The pendulum will be swinging with full force!!!

Yeah, but the Candidate was from California and their former popular Governor. A candidate from CA is the only way a Republican is carrying CA, even then would be tough.

Well before reaching that point they have to be found innocent. Let's see how the trial's end up. I guess there is no chance that Trump and Guliani, hell even his pool boy, broke the law. Let's see what happens before paying them.

It would be incredibly stupid to go after a sitting or a former President without a strong case. You could argue that a single overly ambitious prosecutor might bring a weak case ill supported by evidence to a grand jury. Is it at all reasonable to think it all merely political that prosecutors in 4 jurisdictions have presented evidence to 4 grand juries, all of whom voted to indict?... add to this that any prosecutor who brought a weak against a former President would be effectively ending their careers?

Some Trumpsters are reminding me of the poor Wife who wrote a Newspaper Columnist a few decades back about the inability of the Police in finding out who it was that was abducting her Husband every December and carrying him across the border into Mexico, forcing him to drink liquor and cavort with loose women... and the Police could do nothing!

Why is Trump running again? All other candidates accept their defeat and move on after the election. Name one other "aggrieved billionaire".

The reason the charges are coming are coming before the 2024 election is because the loser of the 2020 election lead an insurrection to overturn a fair and legal election. To avoid being prosecuted he entered the next election and complained "they are charging me before the election."

To make this true he's using ever delay tactic he can to push the cases into 2024.

This is like a wife beater hitting his 4 month pregnant wife them complaining that he's being prosecuted before his baby is being born.

He's being charged because of his actions.

We are over a year from the election. These can be done before any primary, if Trump maintains his right to speedy trial.

His actions took place in Nov 2022 to Jan 2021 and they are indicting in June- Aug 2023. That doesn't seem extreme. But it has to be a political witch hunt, Donald couldn't do anything wrong, no matter what the evidence or witnesses say. You are worse than Democrats, you already have cleared him of any wrong doing without seeing any evidence. Alit of pot and kettle going on.

1. Pretty sure you don't watch MSNBC, any more than I watch whatever news-in-the-bubble you get. My point is that prosecutors as serious about their job as Jack Smith appears to be will not intentionally jeopardize their legal careers by putting up a weak case against Trump. By all observations outside of your news-in-the-bubble, he has presented two cases that do not appear to be weak. We will all find out, though some news broadcasts may focus on Hunter or Hillary rather than discuss the evidence at trial.
2. The January 6 committee, and Congress as a whole or in part, are not a court of law. If you are claiming they didn't broadcast 100% of their findings, that was not required, just as a prosecutor is not required to present everything to a grand jury. It is only at trial that we have any chance of hearing both sides. Too bad some won't be listening.
3. The preponderance of the evidence against Trump is based on his own words and the actions of people working for him. Without the phone conversation where he says he only wants 11,000 something votes, there likely would be no case in Fulton County. The testimony and evidence are not coming from Liberals, but from people close to Trump, most of whom still consider themselves conservatives.

That is the point many on this Board are missing. The evidence and testimony is coming from life-long Republicans that have better Conservative credentials than Donald Trump!

For some reason, there is a group that drank the MAGA kool-aid and will go Jim Jones for Donald. Four prosecutors, four investigations, four different Grand Juries, in four different States all found enough to indict. All of them are Democrats on mission to get Donald???

Ok, maybe an elected DA in GA or NY wants to get Trump, but in GA the Governor, Lt Governor and AG all Republicans testified against Trump. Personally, I think if there are cases that are bogus it is in NY, I could care less about hush money. At some point you have to look in the mirror and say ALL THIS maybe it is a Donald problem...

acquitted. better? You get the point. You can't blow off the whole process because you think it is political. For people that don't want a banana republic, you sure are willing to disregard process because you think it is a bad indictment.
It is political. Why do you think they waited until just before 2024 elections to pursue charges?
So, there is NO chance they are guilty? If so, an acquittal should be quick. We are talking the best attornies money can buy, they should make short work of this political indictment.

Have you been awake the last eight years? Do you know what happens to LWNJs that make false accusations against Republicans? They become stars on MSNBC.

The Russia Hoax anyone? Adam Shiff lied on CNN daily. The January 6 Stalin TV Show had to magically delete its records so no one could glean the truth.

When discussing the indictments, I have heard from Trumpians the term "Orwellian" to describe the situation. I would agree to some extent, though I think the Trumpsters are pointing in the wrong direction. Much of their argument is classic Orwellian Doublethink: At some level, most of them realize that Trump is an inveterate liar, consumed by his own self-promotion. When these realizations emerge, they are immediately suppressed, with the focus turning to the hateful Democrats, evil Hunter, wicked Hillary, et al.
Perhaps our only way out or back from this is to fight for the rational process. Let the judicial process move forward. Insist upon its fairness to the defendant. Let juries as representatives of all of us, decide as objectively as they can upon the evidence.

Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.

Agreed. If a jury finds they have broken the law, lock-em-up.
