When discussing the indictments, I have heard from Trumpians the term "Orwellian" to describe the situation. I would agree to some extent, though I think the Trumpsters are pointing in the wrong direction. Much of their argument is classic Orwellian Doublethink: At some level, most of them realize that Trump is an inveterate liar, consumed by his own self-promotion. When these realizations emerge, they are immediately suppressed, with the focus turning to the hateful Democrats, evil Hunter, wicked Hillary, et al.
Perhaps our only way out or back from this is to fight for the rational process. Let the judicial process move forward. Insist upon its fairness to the defendant. Let juries as representatives of all of us, decide as objectively as they can upon the evidence.

I would agree to some extent, though I think the Trumpsters are pointing in the wrong direction. Much of their argument is classic Orwellian Doublethink: At some level, most of them realize that Trump is an inveterate liar, consumed by his own self-promotion. When these realizations emerge, they are immediately suppressed, with the focus turning to the hateful Democrats, evil Hunter, wicked Hillary, et al.
Perhaps our only way out or back from this is to fight for the rational process. Let the judicial process move forward. Insist upon its fairness to the defendant. Let juries as representatives of all of us, decide as objectively as they can upon the evidence.

Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.
